Except it looks like Loefler wants GGG to not fight this year.

If he gets canelo he won't fight until may.

I think GGG deserved the unification.
So, I prefer Saunders in December.

I don't want to see it, Cotto is just too small, he'd end up taking a beating.

Genuinely didn't know he could still be banned in the states, honestly thought his ban had been served and that's why he was fighting again. But fair point when you put it that way, an away fight against someone who there is still an 'open wound' with, so to speak, that wouldn't be tempting.

Revenge maybe but not when it could benefit them more. Other then Margarito, a Pacquiao rematch could be tempting and other then Liam smith and Liam Williams (both from the UK) there aren't many names on the WBO rankings that I would say could guarantee a sell out crowd.

It's not a ban, it's his eye. He already got revenge, he wants GGG or canelo but that isn't likely. Even if margarito could get licensed, HBO would never approve that fight.

Think he'd land punches but can't see him making any impression. Cottos a good puncher but he's not a 160er

Yes. Fack Margarito he don't deserve nothing

He wouldn't hurt him, but he'd do well for a few rounds. He's a significantly better boxer at this stage of their careers.

I'd rather see Saunders, GGG values the belts so get them all.
Cotto should fight Pacquiao in a joint retirement party

I've heard about Cotto vs Mikey discussion. Not sure at what weight.

I think that would be too much for Mikey to come up, Cotto hasn't come in under 150 in almost 9 years.

Agreed, at this point GGG shouldn't be fighting small super middles

Eh, he'd just have speed. I really don't see Cotto's style working well against GGG. He's more rigid than Canelo and would be plastered while being in GGG's wheelhouse. He'd probably run all night and succumb to pressure, sooner than later.

Now I understand, thanks again for explaining that, now that I realise he wouldn't be cleared medically in the states that fight would be out of the question (among other reason I admit).

True about GGG and Canelo as well, wouldn't have minded seeing him fight Williams or Smith here in the UK but if it's in the states I can't even guess who he could be matched up with for his farewell fight, realistically anyway.
