That and Parker by KO are probably the two most likely outcomes.RScarf1 wrote:Here is my prediction: Fury by robbery

It is relevant because the sway of votes is now in Hughie's favor, whereas the initial poll for the fight when it was announced for Auckland swung well in Parker's favour.
I'm not sure why this has happened.
Perhaps it is the fact of now being in the UK?
Hughie hasn't done anything to prove his worth since then. Unless you count the 6 round beat down and the publicity photos of him carrying a sheep, beating up carcasses at the butchers, and 'splitting' wood

I wasn't trying to uncover or sway anything. I rarely go into the British & Irish section and didn't notice the old poll until I started the new one. I usually hang out in current scene, boxing history, or off topic. Anyhow, GGG-Canelo had about 20 threads as did May.-McG., so a HW fight should get at least 2.
Maybe so, but they like money more than their relationship with the Fury family. The referee that the Parker team did not want has been switched to be one of the judges. It seems to me like the BBBoC wants Fury to win. Think of the money that could be made by the BBBoC if Fury wins. Fury will have his world title fights in England and maybe a unification fight with Joshua.Mighty Atom wrote:People have got this completely the wrong way round.
The BBBOC and the Fury family are sworn enemies.
Parker will get all the breaks in this one. Better than being home in New Zealand.
Parker by undeserved decision

I ment it. I wanted another poll.
The thank you was genuine.
I was going to do it myself if you hadn't.
Fury, ref and judges against Parker 115-113, it might happen tomorrow.tigermoth87 wrote:Fury 8 - 4
No, he did not, it was a close match, edge to Ruiz.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:Parker beat Ruiz cleanly. I can't offer a prediction here as I've never seen Hughie fight. That certainly won't change tomorrow.

It would have been the win for Ruiz on the neutral venue (in the USA 118-110)..........
Good summation.RScarf1 wrote:I think Parker deserved to beat Ruiz by a close margin, but this was because of his fitness compared to Ruiz. Parker won by close judges' scores against Takam and Ruiz. I watched Fury fight on YouTube. He's borderline world-class based on who he has won against, namely Andriy Rudenko, but that was two years ago. Fury's most recent fight was against Fred Kassi and it was stopped due to an accidental head clash that Fury was cut from, so they went to the judges' scores. I think Parker knows that he has to knock Fury out in order to win in England. I saw the weigh-in. Fury looks scrawny compared to Parker. Fury has a little bit of a belly protruding and an abundance of acne on his arms. I don't think this goes the distance.
How elusive is Fury though and can he take a punch? I haven’t seen a fight of his only highlights. Looks awkward, has good movement it seems and comitts to the body...the last one a question mark though because I’ve only seen highlights. I can’t watch a full fight now as I’m on a mobile and can’t be fked. Is that a nightmare for Parker, movement, then body shots? I’ve picked Fury for a decision but after reading most of the comments I’m thinking about changing it.....so you think Parker will be able to explode on him and land and keep that up? Convince me...please.KiwiRider wrote:Good summation.RScarf1 wrote:I think Parker deserved to beat Ruiz by a close margin, but this was because of his fitness compared to Ruiz. I think you touched upon the relevant things. And Fury did look poor at the weigh in. Mind you, Tyson was slimmed down at the Wlad weigh in too. Peter is a good trainer and I suspect he might have a plan.
Parker seems to be adept at fighting on the back foot if need be. He did this against Ruiez's come forward pressure with good success. I don't know what Huggies chin us like, no one knows? I'm expecting Parker to win, probably by KO, buy I would not be surprised if it went the distance depending on chins, and Parker has a fairly decent onelazboy wrote:How elusive is Fury though and can he take a punch?
