Not that I know of.
It's a fantasy match up. I can't see Golden Bum taking the risk twice with their cash cow

A potential bout between Canelo and Jacobs won't even be considered until at least a year has passed.
HBO and Matchroom have a tendency of allowing potentially big fights to "marinate" before cashing in on them.
There is also unfinished business between Canelo and GGG to consider.
Expect Daniel Jacobs to be kept busy by being showcased against cab drivers and then an opponent of David Lemieux's ilk, though probably not the actually David Lemieux, as he's one of the favourites to face Cotto in December... and Haymon and GBP don't work with each other that often unless there's too much money to refuse.

As long as you know you are in the minority in that belief - about 70% of people had GGG winning. Looking at the fight in its entirety, it's hard to argue agaisnt GGG - he was the defending champion, threw 74 more punches, landed 56 more punches and scored the only knockdown in the fight. Of course, boxing is scored round-by-round which is why it's a close fight, as GGG won his rounds by a larger margin than Jacobs did. The commentary you watch can have an influence on how you see the fight too - the UK broadcast had Jacobs winning the first three rounds, I think HBO (and Harold Lederman) did a much better job with the scoring of that fight (Lederman had it even going into the 12th, which GGG clearly won). Keep in mind that with the KD, GGG only needed to win five other rounds in the fight to get the nod. He clearly won the 5th, 9th and 12th rounds, Jacobs clearly won the 6th, 7th and 10th and 11th rounds. The swing rounds in this fight are the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 8th. Give these all to Jacobs and you've got it 115-112 Jacobs, give them all to GGG and it's 116-111 GGG - that's as wide in either direction as you ca have it. Personally I think GGG edged the 1st, 2nd and 8th while Jacobs won the 3rd, which results in a 115-112 scorecard in GGG's favour. I could see Jacobs being given the 2nd, which closes it to a 114-113 win to GGG.
Whichever way you slice it, it's a damn close fight, but the majority of the public believes the right man got the nod. Saying you had Jacobs winning is absolutely fine, but simply stating that Jacobs won is wrong IMO.

Like I said, I have no issue with you or anyone having Jacobs win the fight. I do object to people stating their opinion like it is fact.
'I had Jacobs winning' - fine
'I thought Jacobs deserved the decision' - fine
'Jacobs won' - factually incorrect

This website had 68.4% of fans giving it to GGG, 26.3% to Jacobs and 5.4% a draw.
http://mmadecisions.com/decision/7873/G ... nny-Jacobs
Here are some press scores supplied by BoxRec:
http://boxrec.com/media/index.php/Genna ... iel_Jacobs
This poll has 62% for GGG, 29% for Jacobs and 9% a draw:
https://www.badlefthook.com/2017/3/19/1 ... -the-fight
My 70% figure was mostly from polls I've seen on this site. I was hoping to find a big set of media scorecards but was unable to do so. So perhaps a little under 70%, but I am still correct in saying you are in the minority who had Jacobs winning. Not that any of this makes you wrong - you are entitled to your own opinion and it was a close enough fight that it is reasonable to score it either way.

..I believe for the sake of fairness and more balanced approach we should also see samples of the opinion polls held in Asia und Europe and not limit ourselves to the one and only albeit huge American market..

If it goes the distance and is in LV or anywhere Mexico, Canelo wins.

clive you seem quite hysterical mate. close fight couldve gone either way. not clear jacobs at all. or clear gg. think fight showd them to be on same level.ggg very good but not an atg beast at all. more sergio-ish
think dj may actually give canelo more problems than ggg did. longer, faster, harder to counter. can move well on feet too.

You're saying that the majority of people had GGG winning because of the punch stats? I don't think it's ever a good idea to score a fight using Compubox, though the figures looked to be pretty accurate for this fight.

Golovkin is clearly well past his best at 35, but he still beat Canelo... Jacobs said it best...Canelo didn't get anything close to a draw...total bogus decision.
Hagler was only 32... Was he clearly at his best for Sugar Ray Leonard cuz it was the biggest fight of his career??? ... Did Leonard opt to defend the Middleweight Title he won from Hagler versus ANY to the top Middleweights??? ... Leonard took one look at the powerful Middleweight Lineup---guys like Mike McCallum and MIchael Nunn---and was scared shiitless... So was Hagler who quit the ring cold at 32.. Hag wasn't looking so hot, going down to his 3rd defeat an everything.

pizzakid13 wrote:Enlightened-One wrote:It's easy to favour Daniel Jacobs for two reasons: he's naturally bigger than Canelo; and he was more effective against GGG.
However, there are subplots that need to be considered...
Daniel Jacobs was a massive underdog for his bout against GGG and the American hadn't previously shown anything truly impressive other than the Quillin KO. So there's a question mark over Gennady's attitude when he took the Jacobs fight, such as: did he underestimate his opponent? Many people from this forum clearly did.
Also, Golovkin was clearly at his very best against Canelo, because it was the biggest fight of his career. So did that mean that Alvarez faced a better version of Golovkin than Jacobs did?
People probably fancy Jacobs to wipe the floor with Canelo, but I'm not so sure. It'll be a tough fight and the Mexican has got an incredibly sturdy beard.
If Canelo can up his workrate, he is capable of defeating Jacobs by decision.
I think the opposite about ggg. He was gassed early and very cautious.
Gennady Golovkin carried the fight to Canelo. He threw and landed more punches, and was more aggressive... He never gassed.
