They're not supposed to be allowed, but Commissions often let that little rule slip by these days.

I think Santiago could have continued. He was the type who shakes off shots quickly. He was one of those who look gone one moment and a second later he looks alert again.

I suppose the ref will say he wasn't defending himself with one arm trapped over the rope.
