Joel Gallagher is the most overated trainer by the media and pros
and the most underated by the fans cause they think he is the drizzling shits

[One that I said was great because a couple of his fighters were doing decent, but now a couple had some bad losses he's obviously overrated and terrible, I am very clever]

It would be impossible for him to be over-rated now, unless he is actually worse than a tactically inept, hopeless dog noncer

I wouldn't comment on particular trainers, but one measure that is often quite telling is when a chief second pulls or does not pull a fighter out of a contest. It is one of the most difficult calls for a chief second to make. (PS - that is not meant with 20:20 hindsight, e.g. in cases where a fighter has suffered an injury, I would add.)

Theres lots of trainers out there who talk a great game , but teach nothing and get allocades , and theres lots who teach champions only to watch them leave there gym and go with the smooth talker who has connections , Sad but True .

I've alwayd said , you don't wake up one morning and say , I think i'll become a boxer , you have to train , listen , and learn to be a succesful boxer , do an apprenteship ,, same goes for trainers , I think people like Shane are too young they have not done there apprentaship and become more celebrity trainers get them fit and teach nothing , Ingle he done his apprentaship with his dad and for me teaches what he teaches well ,, theres just 2 who are different

I should probably form a new thread, but anyway.

Just re-watched AJ against Wlad. Mckracken's corner work is as good as you will ever see. He's a wonderful trainer, and a fabulous in fight adjuster.

Whenever he retires from the Team GB role (which I hope isn't for at least another Olympic cycle), he will be fantastic as a fight analyser.

I've said this before I can't remember seeing such a calm clear voice and instructions from a trainer, he's fantastic

No need to even mention this guy’s name, a quote will suffice:

“Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.”
