Tommy Ryan vs Ezzard Charles?p4p1 wrote:Charles?gilgamesh wrote:I'll state again. Tommy Ryan is open to any offers. If we can't get a fight signed by Deadline time he'll take on Felix Trinidad, but we'd consider any offer for a more significant fight from a properly managed fighter.

Blatant ducking of a challenge is unbecoming of a titleholder. Even a minor one.BoxBuzz wrote:Golovkin obviously wants Canelo this week.
Gotta set things straight.
With the WBO Title now vacant, then yes - Hearns & Monzon are next in line.HyacinthusTurnipseed wrote:Actually, to make things MORE interesting, Ketchel is going to let loose the WBO belt for Hearns and whoever else (Monzon?) to fight for.

Commissioners...I believe this calls for the removal of Golovkin's MGM Grand status if he won't defend his title with honor.
No we can't wait frankly because Nino is too damn good. Another win or two, and he's a contender for the World Titles. He wants that MGM Grand Cup, and he by God wants it now!BoxBuzz wrote:gilgamesh wrote:Blatant ducking of a challenge is unbecoming of a titleholder. What, you can't wait a week for this historic rematch that must be made? Get yourself a coke and relax.
As long as we get to keep all the $$$ though.BoxBuzz wrote:p4p1 wrote:How about in the meantime he gives Cerdan a rematch after their draw?BoxBuzz wrote:Hopkins want's his shot.
Ok....but you'll need to accept that this fight will be held in Puerto Rico to give the folks there some entertainment in the wake of Irma.
Monzon accepts this great opportunity to fight for a World Championship.Crease wrote:STANLEY KETCHEL MUST DEFEND HIS WBO TITLE AGAINST A FIGHTER RANKED IN THE TOP 15 OF THE OFFICIAL RANKINGS.
(CPU OPPOSITION IS DISCOURAGED AND FROWNED UPON)
KETCHEL VACATES.
THE WBO BOARD SANCTIONS A BOUT BETWEEN THOMAS HEARNS AND CARLOS MONZON FOR THE VACANT TITLE.
If you choose to go through with this, then you will be stripped of your MGM status...BoxBuzz wrote:Golovkin obviously wants Canelo this week. Gotta set things straight.

Charley is fighting for the CPU title this week, so he is unavailable to fight. However, if you wish to recruit him you are permitted to do so.HyacinthusTurnipseed wrote:If it is okay with everyone else I'm going to match up Holman Williams with Charley Burley and manage the winner for the last ten weeks.

GODDAMNIT! How come every single time a vacant title comes up Nino's gotta fight Mike McCallum? This is seriously like the 3rd time this same exact matchup has been made as a result of these circumstances.Crease wrote:If Buzz vacates the MGM, Nino Benvenuti and Mike McCallum will be offered the chance to become the Prince of Vegas.

Forget it. Nino doesn't feel like fighting Mike again.
Nino wants GGG for the MGM Grand Cup or he'll fight somebody else.
Seems like it'd be a good week to avenge the loss to Tito Trinidad if we can't get the fight we want.
Well in that case maybe Nino will fight whoever's next in line after Mike McCallumFist of Legend wrote:gilgamesh wrote:GODDAMNIT! McCallum doesn't want to fight Nino either, he'll fight Shane Mosley instead
maybe Bivins can fight for the MGM?

And the MGM Grand staff will send around a couple of heavy boys to have a "discussion" with Mr Golovkin which will ultimately end up in him being dumped out the back in a wheelbarrow.
I hope it's comfortable... And that you enjoy the ride.
