In what way does the US version give the fight a different feel? Only ever seen our version.

For some reason the Lenny Daws v Nigel Wright British title fight at York Hall always sticks in my mind as creating a great atmosphere. Maybe because I wasn't expecting much.

the commentary makes it feel different, its interesting to hear the U.S take on the fight/event as its unfolding, plus they occasionally go back to the U.S studio between rounds to the anchor and bobby czyz for their assessment, I thought it was pretty cool anyway but I am a bit geeky when it comes to this stuff ha ha !

Small hall - couple of Darren McDermott fights with CP, Andreas Panayi/Shaun Cogan, Jason Matthews/Darren Dorrington (that was wild, stuck right between both sets of fans), McDonnell/Jamoye/Hall.

One of the most recent, despite it not being a great fight - Haye/Ruiz. The first Froch/Groves was nuts after the KD, the second was pretty good too.

Calzaghe/Reid, bit draughty but good atmosphere and decent fight. Hamed/McCullough, very draughty but pretty lively. Hatton/Kostya. Haye/Mormeck, Haye/Macca.

Benn/Malinga II, Eubank/CAT II, Calzaghe/Eubank wasn't as good beforehand but once it got started

Any Wharton at Leeds Town Hall, incredible small hall venue, Froch-Groves 1 was very good, Khan-Prescott for sheer shock!

Yeah, lots of shocked faces around. complete contrast to the crowd laughing at Audley against that far cruiserweight.

Froch v Groves 1 was incredible. Never known anything like it.

Walsh-Appleby at York Hall was a special night. Atmosphere was electric and the fight didn't disappoint.

The best one personally (& I've shared this on here before) was Benn v Lou Gent but that was probably because of a combination of me taking an E before the fight & all the Gent fans singing "Saaf Laandahn, Ragh Ragh Ragh" over & over.

I was at Benn Eubank II but we was in a corporate box so you didn't really feel it as much.

Benn-Gent was the first pro fight I ever went to. It was a good atmosphere and intimidating for a young guy.

I was about 24/25. I remember that Steve Collins was on the undercard (I think) in a boring fight against a South African. He had a dull style until he reached about 30 then he suddenly went all out attack.

That’s right - against Gerard Botes. Robbie Regan was on the bill too. There were a lot of shady ‘characters’ around!

The next day round Manchester with all the Irish lads was sound too ended up getting back on the piss despite about an hour sleep

For me it would be Trinidad vs Mayorga at MSG, followed by Froch vs Jean Pascal... though gutted I missed the Bute fight as that sounded even better!

Martin Lindsay v Paul Appleby at the Ulster Hall in Belfast will always be hard to beat.

But the ring walk songs were spot on might have even been the first time Haye used aint no stopping us now, and I think Enzo came out to that no I won't back down. The atmosphere during was brilliant.

Frampton v Martinez (first time round) was brilliant. Only time I've been Belfast for Frampton so it may well always be like that and that time wasn't that special but was very good.

Tend to prefer them when there is a bit of support for both boxers which is probably why I'd give it to Froch v Bute which has been mentioned that was a good one. Quite a few Romanians in the crowd who were definitely creating the more noise pre fight obviously when it got going and Froch got on top it was absolutely mental. Great night that one, helped that I went the after party I suppose but definitely one of my better nights at boxing

Hamed vs Barrera.

Frampton v Quigg probably. Irish lads made it a cracking night, even though I was rooting for Quigg being local and that.

The atmosphere there is generated mainly of sniffing, body parts hitting other body parts and chairs landing half way across the room.

I've been to a few Frampton fights and they're hard to beat. Back in the day Scott Harrison always had a good support and there was always a good atmosphere. I was ringside the night Burns beat Martinez for the title and that was special especially considering there wasn't a bar in the place!

don't think haye and enzo started their ring walks till after 1am to accommodate U.S tv, but that left a massive gap and Mexican waves accompanied with sweet caroline blasting out is only fun for so long ! As soon as it started though you could feel the electricity in the air and the gap was soon forgotton

I doubt Sweet Caroline was on, it was a FW promotion. He'd have had Camp Eddie in court by now for stealing his ideas.
