In fairness he cut a fearsome figure in the mid 90s did Akinwande, and though its debatable I believe he knocked Lennox down in their fight.

I also seen the docu on Sky that the OP is referring to and it was enjoyable, I remember Nelson breaking down crying out of the blue when he was describing how his knee went whilst in the gym, that was the moment he realised his career was over, it was pretty sad to listen to, I rarely agree with Neslon regarding fights but he's got a good soul has Johnny

Aye, it was good in parts. I liked reading about his time sparring in Germany. He earned his dough over there. But some bits seemed strange to me, the negative way he talked about Herol Graham for example who seemed to treat him well and let him stay in his house. He also talked about Schulz being worn out and falling short in the Foreman fight, glossing over the controversial decision that George won. The part that turned me off most of all though was the "Putting the cat out" chapter when he covers the Carl Thompson fight (one of my favourite fighters).

I read his book, thought it was cracking, bit dark when he caught the plumber shagging his pet dog!
