Yes good post from Kalan, and good on you both for affirming him when he's correct.Ossyrules wrote:Spot on from kalanCounter-puncher wrote:AgreedKalan wrote:

Groves has no power? You high. Fvck, fake news rife of whatKalan wrote:Groves has no power.. That was proven in the Jack fight when Badou walked through him.. His chin isn't real good.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:Just about right, pick em fight. The unknown is if Eubank can take Groves power.
But Groves is tall and has been fighting at Super Middleweight for a long time.. This is the first veteran contender Eubank has faced at 168 so he can't go in there with his head up his ass.. But Eubank has come a long way since his loss to Saunders where he performed like a rookie -- so I don't think cockiness is necessarily going to be a major issue.. You can't be full of yourself versus a veteran fighter and Eubank tends to be cock-sure.

Agree with this, if he’s clubbing you and you see it coming it’s not putting you down, but it will break you down slowly. Murray, chudinov, the poor lad who was hospitalised...jamamb wrote:groves isnt a massive hitter imo. but definitely good power. prob among hardest hitting counter punchers today. i think a lot with him is that he also has speed and catches you with shots you dont brace for. when he just tees off on guys its actually when he doesnt get his best stoppages. froch, cox, smith, i think happened when he coutnered.
It should do.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:He's the only fighter I've seen hurt Froch, much less drop him. That says it all.

Ah good reminder that one did hurt Froch. Not as badly as Pavlik was hurt by Taylor but definitely a legit KDgilgamesh wrote:Jermain Taylor dropped FrochSaadOffTheDeck wrote:He's the only fighter I've seen hurt Froch, much less drop him. That says it all.
Indeed. Groves hits hard enough to have an ATG chin on rubber legs for about 4 roundsjamamb wrote:yes although froch more hurt against groves. took several rounds to recover and only time ive seen him look that weary and maybe even gun shy for a few. was like 'oh poo!'

i wouldn't be so sure mate, this is the guy who says Hagler couldn't box and Sugar Ray Robinson was a brawler.lillywhite14 wrote:Kalan clearly mistaken Cleverly for Groves.
