this.
Pulev only ever lost to Wlad.
Takam has losses to Parker, Povetkin and Gregory Tony and a draw with Mike Perez.
Pulev beats Takam and is a stiffer test for AJ...
Lol, so whom they've lost too is the measuring stick? All that shows is takam has been in with a better quality than pulev has beaten. Is his best win that oaf Ustinov?
Dimitrenko, Ustinov, Thompson or Chisora.
Takams best win? Thompson?

So it’s not worthy of Ppv now- would be a good time to showcase Joshua for free Eddie :TU:

takam got jobbed against perez. beat him up all last five rounds and clearly deserved at least a round before that. i have no doubt he'd beat ustinov.

Stupid ibf rankings

Takam has beat nobody to be number 3. Almost as big a joke as hughie fury fighting for a world title with his cv

Joshua victory, with barely a shadow of doubt to argue it.

The reason I say this is the lateness that this has been announced, Has Takam been training ? if not he's been given less then 2 weeks to prepare for (arguably) the best heavyweight in the division right now.
I'm not saying Takam isn't a good boxer, he's fought and won twice already this year so well done and well fought to the man but short notice is short notice, I see Joshua winning this before the middle rounds.

That's not exactly a who's who. I guess chisora would be the best either has beaten. Takam being competetive with povetkin & Parker would lead me to favor him over chisora. You're really making my point for me. It never was that takam was the more 'deserving' Challenger. Just that I find the fight more interesting.

How did Pulev hurt his shoulder, putting too much effort into spinning his squeeze?

He never wanted the fight.

Joshua & Wilder are the only Heavyweights that really interest me. Joshua because I think he's the best since Lewis and Wilder because a Ko can happen at anytime for either guy. If Pulev was supposed to fight anyone else I couldn't care less. Maybe that's why this doesn't change it for me at all.

I think Deontay Corleone made a call.

Agree. Pulev would have been more of a boxing match while I think this bout will be bit of a tear up.

:maybe: He was whining about not having enough training time, wasn't he?

I honestly do not think that his heart was in it.

Canny move by Hearn, retaining this Takam on standby, because Pulev was complaining from the off he didn't have enough time, so now he can put Josh in with a complete non puncher, much smaller and absolutely no threat at all. And it's still PPV.

German based fighters never want to come over here. Going back to Denis Lebedev pulling out of a vacant title fight with Carl Froch in Nottingham. Did anyone think Pulev would go through with it?

Denis Inkin!

fornicating hell, lol

Yes Inkin, who I was gutted with because his solid pressure could’ve blended beautifully with Froch.

Although Froch-Pascal and Inkin’s defeat to the Hungarian (another name that I’ve lost) for the WBO title proved to be very good fights instead.
