I don't understand this train of thought. If a fighter doesn't have any intention of fighting someone else under certain circumstances, why would they waste time and money making the fight only to get out of it?

If this fight is cancelled due to injury, i doubt it will be because someone is trying to get out of the fight.

u think lemieux has no chance in a fair judged/officiated fight?
He has a small punchers chance. Though Saunders has never shown a weak chin and David lacks the skills to land. So, yes, I think BJS is a big favorite on level ground.

I don't really get the "Will Saunders pull out of the fight" stuff anyway. He's just been inactive, but I don't recall him backing out of agreed to fights in the past.

Dang gilgamesh you're a mod now. Well deserved. I liked the videos of the jumping arm shoulder toss in judo you used to share in youtube videos. The one where the thrower flips also and lands shoulder to stomach... or chest.. or neck in certain emergency situations. Slightly off topic of course. It is difficult to find that video of the dude in Judo competition.
I'm not 100% sure that was me that did that posted that, but it might've been. My memory sucks. Thanks though

Saunders lack of activity makes it 50/50, and I drink a lot.

I could see this thing happening. This fight is signed to take place on Canadian soil and I don't see Saunders to be the type of fighter going overseas and fight a dangerous opponent like Lemieux. I hope I'm wrong because is a good fight.
Lemieux has previously rejected an opportunity to face Saunders, due to the “risks” being “high”, since he wanted bigger fights.

The Canadian is also said to have “the hands of a man aged 70-80.”

So I guess the question should really be…

“Will Lemieux pull out from the fight with Saunders via injury?”
 I think it's Lemieux's dream to be champion again. No reason for him to pull out. :OhYes:
But his so-called "dream" wasn't previously sufficient enough motivation for him to accept an offer to compete for a world title against Saunders.

To be fair, it would only take you a few seconds to verify his previous refusal to face the Brit.

You know I'm not making this up.

erm, 117-111x2 and 116-112

it was hardly a shutout. 3 and 4 rounds for bute is no problem. u must remember wrong if u think it was in shutout range. that was butes best showing in years.
