I certainly don't think Byrd was quicker and more elusive than Jones. In fact, I think Jones was better at literally everything than Byrd. This would be a fairly boring fight with Jones winning a lopsided decision.

We agree to disagree. Jones looked fairly good against the slow plodding Ruiz, but how would he fair with Byrd who made a career out of making monsters (like Tua) look ordinary? If anything it's an even contest.

I was more impressed, personally, by James Toney as a heavyweight than I was Jones and Byrd.

Well there was more to be impressed about in the case of HW's Toney vs Jones.......


vs Byrd I'm not as sure.......Could Toney convince Vitali to separate his rotater cuff in the same manner Byrd was able to do? It's a good question.

For what it's worth, Jones had less trouble with Ruiz than Toney did.
Actually, Byrd-Toney may have been interesting. At one time there was talk about a fight between them in Detroit.

Wonder if Jones would have fared any better than Ruiz against the Beast. I would have paid to see Jones or Toney against him just for the Mutt/Jeff aspect.

Valuev? They would play with him. I'd like to see Valuev vs Lennox Lewis more though. Watching 7 feet tall 350 lbs guy being KTFOed in 1-2 rounds would be amazing. And if 6'3'' top-20 contender Monte Barrett was landing at will his right hand against Valuev, 6'5'' ATG Lennox Lewis would definitely land more

You mean that 5'9'' Toney schooling 7'0'' Valuev would look more impressve than 6'5'' Lennox Lewis knocking him out? Probably yes, but I always wanted to see Valuev being KTFOed.
