To be honest it doesnt bother me, if I dont want to look at a topic I wont.

Its not the end of the world really. But ill ask opinion in the mod section and see what others think.
You're missing the point. I click on topics I want to read and I don't want to read irrelevant/outdated chat.

It should be simple common sense: create a new topic for RBR's. When polls are outdated start a new one etc...
I understand what you are saying. Just because I dont want to look at some posts doesnt mean others wont want to. What im saying is that it doesnt bother me. im not suggesting these issues dont bother other readers.

What im hoping is that people will look at how they make polls and topics and maybe not change the subject title as and when it pleases. I suggest make a poll and when that subject matter has run its course leave it in the vault. Let the topic go and make another one to replace it thats more upto date and relevant from the start.

I just dont want to get too zealous and just start deleting posts willy nilly.

I suggest everyone looks at how they put up polls and thinks about not changing the title to suit, or to troll, or to wind people up.
You'd hope people would use common sense but it doesn't seem to be happening. I guess a polite request from the mods would be a starting point - i.e. laying down an unwritten rule. Then if someone decides to ignore it, you could start deleting posts or something...

Its been discussed by myself and another mod who was online at the time. Again while we said no laws have been broken i'm listening to what you lot are saying about it. If topics or polls start to get title changes just for trolling purposes or to wind people up they will be removed. I cant say more than that.

I would hope from now on posters have taken this to mind and think about making polls in a different way to how they have been making them.

Lets draw a line under this little issue and see how it goes, but if posts do need to be removed they will.

I also do one every month to decide Fight of the Month, Fighter of the Month etc.

But not on here.
I don't like to think your seeing someone else. I thought we had something, how do I know your not distracted by other forums when your needed here? The grass isn't always greener gillypoos, it only looks that way because it's AstroTurf but it gives lambs a tummy ache.

It's got to the point where I don't want to click on threads that Wesshaw has started :brick:

Ironically, loads of threads have been deleted by mods on OT recently, but when we actually ask for action to be taken on threads like this, nothing gets done :maybe:

Thats not stricly true.

I have deleted 2 resurrected poll posts.

As another poster has said within this thread if you do not like a persons posts do not click on it.

I’d be happy to do that, but since the update there doesn’t seem to be a way of displaying who created the thread, it just shows who last posted on it. I have raised the issue in the query section, but unfortunately it’s not yet been fixed :maybe:

That’s on a desktop view, you don’t get that on a mobile view. My work have blocked access to Boxrec, so I have to do all my posting from my mobile.
