Trying to stay undefeated is stupid.. Risky fights pay off.. Ali and Frazier both had defeats when their rematch and rubber match did more money than the original fight.. Do the big fights everyone wants to see.. This fight will do great because it's a great match-up like Joshua-Klitschko... The only thing that can possibly hurt match-ups like that are rotten judging like Golovkin-Alvarez... Fans get pissed off and they feel ripped off.

Had Klitschko been 3 or 4 years younger -- and better able to weather the first fight -- the rematch would have done better numbers because of the success of the first fight.. It was a spectacular fight because both fighters have tremendous ability..

So do the fights the fans want NOW.. Then do the rematch and rubber-match.. You don't need to marinate it and get chicken fat all over it.

Do you watch boxing at all every AJ fight is pay per view.. they'd both make so much money it's unbelievable. I fear there'd be no marinating at all if anything it would do worse numbers further down the line. It has to be soon or not at all, they are both very beatable and without their belts and unbeaten records it's not worth pay per view

Maybe, just maybe, it tops the 150,000 PPV buys for Golovkin vs Lemieux, but not by much.

It would be better served to put the proposed bout on primetime FOX and give these two a little free exposure.

But if they want an actual live crowd, it will have to be held in Alabama.
