Come on... The fight might do even better than May-Mac... ROOK vs WRECK
I hated May-Mac at first because it was so stupid for anyone who hadn't boxed to start at such a high level... But the judges were fixed so Floyd couldn't possibly lose.. Why would he bother doing that if he were such an easy winner??? There was an outside chance McGregor could go the distance. That's the only reason to fix the judges.. McGregor tagged Floyd up like crazy for the first 3 rounds -- because when has Floyd ever boxed a tall rangy southpaw except for Errol Spence in sparring??? ... And he got killed by Spence who had 4 pro fights.
When McGregor beat Paulie up in sparring I knew he was more than another Rademacher.. He didn't look good.. He didn't have a stance or footwork and he looked awkward trying to get away from straights.. He didn't have a 6-round boxer's stance or movement, but he didn't look like somebody who never had a boxing match. He looked very athletic but he didn't have a clue what to do with his head when a loaded shot came straight at it.. This fight he would have a much better shot cuz he learned so much from Floyd and cuz Oscar never was that great to begin with.
Jesus Christ! The amount of shit you type is unbearable!

The amount of crap you write is insufferable... Don't read posts that are too advanced for you -- they'll strain your brain.
Oscar has a forward head... Which is about the exact opposite problem of having your head in the air which is Conor McGregor's problem... He also has other technical problems that McGregor can exploit... Floyd could be tagged by quick jabs, uppercuts, and hooks from both sides.. McGregor exploited that to a degree for 3 rounds -- but Oscar got hit with everything.. He was easy to hit.
Oscar has deteriorated a lot farther than Floyd and is about 10 X slower... Conor is a boxer, but just not a real good one right now... With a great trainer he'll get better quickly... You can't do it with MMA striking coaches -- that will not work and proven not to work against Floyd.
He has the millions of dollars to invest in a world class boxing trainer... Why wouldn't he do it??? ... He's not a tightwad.

Rubbish. Conor is way too old to become much better a boxer than he is now. You are talking out of your arse, as usual.

I'm a 33 year old man but as a boy I was a big DLH fan! In recent years he's ruined that man! I didn't want to see the Mayweather v McGregor 'fight' so I've even less interest in this daftness!

Yea I used to be a DLH fan too. He’s changed into a fat suit now. That fat has literally gone to his head, his head is fat as fck now. Still I’d watch a YouTube replay of him bashing Conor, he could just walk through those shots, no need to block, his head would absorb them with minimal pain because of the fat cushioning.

Oscar could snort a few grams of gear then stick the old fishnets on and he'd still whip that wee tattie picker McGregor....

Very true. He’s a lucky man DLH, looks good in fishnets except for the gigantic head and has money for cococaine. He’s living the life really.

Why not, wouldn’t pay for it though, would be a good laugh If DLH knocked out McNugget. I think some people don’t like these kinds of fights because they are all about the circus buildup and generating as much as cash possible, however the horse has well and truely bolted on that one.

To be fair, Oscar De La Hoya could earn himself at least $100m to engage in a relatively winnable fight.
How many of us would willingly step into a boxing ring against McGregor for $100m?
I don't see this fight coming close to being a hundred million dollars.
The world fell for this crap once I doubt they'd fall for it again
Never under-estimate the stupidity of people.
There are already a split of opinion on this thread on who will win.
The fact that it is a long retired, drug fuelled old man, vs a fighter from a different code, adds more intrigue, people will eat this up.
Connor sells, De La Hoya sells (prhaps not as much as he once did) but both are names and people will pay to see it

I can't see a problem with it.
If it's OK for Mayweather to do it, then it should be fine for De La Hoya too.
Oscar obviously fancies some easy money & I can't blame him for that.

I think ODLH would do it to discredit Mayweather, by beating Conor himself it would prove that what Mayweather did wasn't that extraordinary.
Perhaps the same kind of thinking that Hopkins had when he tried to beat Joe Smith : "Even I, can beat this guy..."

Mcgregor is a useless boxer and Mayweather is well past it. De La Hoya is even more past it. It's a fight I might watch in the pub car park but let's not pretend it's serious level boxing.

I’d prefer DLH v mayweather 2 billed as revenge or revenue? Or Canelo v DLH billed as the sex slave v the master.

This would be an interesting fight.
I think DLH is able to get into shape for one fight against someone like McGregor.
Or is DLH just experiencing a mid life crisis?

I doubt he needs money, probably just wants attention.
If he spent his time and got in the best shape he could (which I don't think Mayweather really did), I still think he'd win.

I don't think it's a mid-life crisis, because he could just go out & buy a Mazda MX-5 or a motorbike if that was the case.
He's probably missing the limelight & fancies an easy payday, which fighting the hopeless Conor McGregor would bring.

A uselesss boxer doesn't earn Hundreds of Millions of dollars... Nor is he matched with an ATG, go 10 rounds, or take an early lead.
A MAC-DLH fight would do one Hell of a lot of money -- and McGregor would win it if he hired a top boxing coach which he CAN afford.

You know mcgregor got the Mayweather fight due to his accomplishments in mma and marketability.
He hasn’t earned that fight on merit as a skilled boxer

Yeah maybe he might win. But it's a pointless fight. Who are we going to wheel out to fight mcgregor next? Someone in their 50s or 60s?

I wouldn't pay $100 to see it ...
But why would anybody be against this fight?
It's just an entertaining fight between big names.
Yes,
DLH is a bitch ass nigga, but which rich egomaniac person isn't?
This generation of people have become stupendously hypocritical.
40 years ago, it would have been a good laugh and something to drink to.
There is such a fake aura of authenticity all throughout facebook responses to boxing matters.
So now, the boxing, competitive sport purists, are coming out ...
Make the fight. Fun reason to go to the bar ...
