Yep, that's the sort of thing that usually starts a Hamed debate. I was thinking more on the lines of....."Featherweight most likely to win in a Pizza Hut all you can eat buffet competition".

i dont liek hamed noether but the stivck he was getitng on the current scene form the likes of Raff was just downright WRONG.
someone has to stand up for the brits sometime.

Why not take him over to the states for 2 or 3 months of training and sparring - will be worth a lot more to his career than 3 or 4 complete mismatches he will have in that time.

With regards to the amateurs, his style was clearly suited to it, didn't he win a couple of junior ABA titles (feel free to correct me anyone)? It's really not even a question, where he'd learn more. If he'd qualified for the olympics he'd be fighting guys with vast amounts of experience, and much more pedigree than the feather-fisted, survival orientated, undersized punching bags he's been in with so far.

No, dont compare him to Lewis. Haye can fight and isnt anal retentive.

He turned pro too early. Fighters who turn early tend to burn out quicker as far as I can see. Can anyone think of examples where fighters have turned young and still have a long successful career?

I think these guys should stay amateur until 23-24 then turn pro with a lot more experience meaning they dont need to be spoon fed 20 tomato cans before their career really starts.
