This fight isn’t happening but ODLH returning against anyone that people have heard of would generate money.

Oscar wouldn't generated money against anyone. His popularity has waned over the years but I believe a fight with McGregor would sell because

1. It's a fight McGregor has a decent chance to win which hardcore MMA only fans will want to see.
2. Oscar is a known enough name in the mainstream to sell a fight even if his popularity as dropped. My mother knows who De La Hoya is but didn't know who McGregor was prior to the Mayweather fight.

He'll fight in the UFC for sure but I don't think he will fancy working with Dana White too much longer. He may believe he's above "the boss" now that he's gotten a taste of someone who is a true boss in their sport. It'll be easier for him to setup his own boxing promotion than MMA.

But MOST of MMA fans bought the PPV. Those same fans probably have never purchased a Mayweather fight, not even Mayweather Pacquiao.

We might see Floyd Sr. Back in Oscar's corner going toe to toe with McGregor again at press conferences and going viral on YouTube etc. Mug casuals will fall for it in the US. I don't think people on here appreciate how big DLH was in the US.
