Easy decision for Garcia against paper champ Lipinets.

Not surprising since Mikey's most recent bout was Broner at 140.

Most significantly, if Rigondeaux goes up 2 weight classes to face Loma, why is 2 divisions too big a jump for Loma? Loma & Garcia are both 5'6" and are much closer in size than Loma & Rigo are!! :OhYes:
loma already moved up. him going to 135 would be 9 pounds where he started from and 140 would be 14. rigo moved 8 pounds where he started from.
Way to juggle the numbers!!

Far more relevant to the issue of Garcia-Lomachenko is the fact the BOTH Mikey & Vasyl started at 126 and both are 5'6"...MUCH closer in size than Loma & Rigo!!

ya, roll you eyes at the facts  nice job leaving out in the rigo comparison that its actually 135 that would be two divisions up on where loma started. loma going to 135 is more of a pound jump than rigos ever made

im all for loma mikey :TU:

What Loma win?!? :o Surely not the Rigo fight...

Garcia fought his last fight at 140 back in July!! 4 months BEFORE the Loma-Rigo fight.

So trying to spin it as if Garcia is ducking Loma only proves you are a Garcia-hater OR a Lomachenko nuthugger!! Maybe both...

In case you havent noticed, this is a new argument, amigo. Since this is about Garcia-Loma let's leave Rigo out of this for now!

The foundation of my new argument is that Garcia started at 126 JUST LIKE LOMA and has risen up FOUR DIVISIONS...why can Lomachenko not DO THE SAME?

lol read your posts again mate. look what i replied to. it was you bringing up rigo and saying if he moved up 2 why cant loma (that would be 135 for loma). now ur shifting to garcia.

who says loma wont be moving up?he was already a two division champ after like 7 fights. could well be at 135 soon.i think its strange how some ppl are acting like hes shown no willingness to move up and has only fought litgle small kids.

mikey is naturally bigger and you yourself went on about how much wider he is in another thread. but id still be all for it, though think mikey is more natural fit at 140 than loma. but bring it on

I never said Loma wont be moving up, I think he will be moving up because he likes new challenges. I said in the other thread that Garcia is thicker in the shoulders, which accounts for his slightly longer reach when measured in the conventional manner (which is actually wingspan, unlike HBO's measurement which is shoulder to finger tip on a single arm).

At least you seem to be willing to admit that nobody at 135 can provide Loma the obstacle that Garcia can. Linares is a good fighter but he's not a future Hall-of-Famer like Garcia or Lomachenko.

I think Lomachenko or Arum said that Garcia wouldn’t be first at 135.
So if that’s the case, why dont u guys mention someone at 135 who was actually available?

If it isn’t a big fight at 135, (Linares or Lomachenko)
then Garcia is chasing a 4th weight class title because YOU THE F’ING FANS act like it’s important.

You stupid over-zealous racist just ruin every good white fighter with this worshipping nonsense.
There have been hundreds of great white fighters.
You are being self racists by overrating every new white fighter with potential to be great.
It’s an admission of inferiority. It’s really unnecessary and just reflects athletic stereotypes.

Fight has been postponed. Lipinets suffers hand injury, however it's a minor injury.

Couldn't Lipinets have gone ahead with the fight and simply quit on his stool after 6 rounds?

That's right.

So he would have a had a terrific excuse when he quit and surrendered his title and unbeaten record.

What a gutsy guy, he would be. Despite a hand injury, going ahead with the fight against a P4P talent like Garcia.

Who would possibly fault any fighter for saying "no mas" because of a disabling sore hand?

The highly anticipated showdown between undefeated three-division world champion Mikey Garcia and IBF 140-pound champion Sergey Lipinets has been rescheduled for Saturday, March 10th. The Premier Boxing Champions event was set to take place on February 10th, but Garcia's quest for a fourth world title had to be rescheduled following a training injury to Lipinets' hand. The fight will be live on SHOWTIME and will remain in San Antonio but move to the Freeman Coliseum.

Ticket information will be released early next week. Those holding tickets for the original date at the Alamodome will receive priority on seat exchange for the new venue. Tickets are priced at $250, $150, $75, $50 and $20 and will be available at Ticketmaster.com or by calling 210 556-6390. The event is promoted by Ringstar Sports and TGB Promotions, in association with Leija-Battah Promotions.

The remainder of the card will remain the same including the SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING co-feature, which will see two-division world champion Rances Barthelemy taking on Kiryl Relikh in a rematch of their thrilling fight last May, this time for the vacant WBA 140-pound world title. The doubleheader of title bouts in the wide-open 140-pound division sets the stage for a potential unification match.

Garcia takes this one easily. The only question is whether it is by decision or KO. I'll say late-round TKO...

It's a pleasure to watch Garcia fight...masterful technician with good aggression.

YAWN....another BS title for Mikey Garcia. WHO CARES? It's hilarious to me how this fraud, Mikey Garcia, can't pass up a microphone without talking about making "great fights FOR THE FANS". Who the hell wanted to see this fight? Lipinets and his family excluded.

Why hasn't Mikey Garcia called out the best fighter around his current weight class like oh, i don't know, Loma? He'll call out Spence Jr but not someone a few pounds away that would be a great treat for the fans and possibly the biggest fight of the year. Oh I know why, because Mikey Garcia is a fraud. Talented, i'll give you that. But a cherry picking yapper is not a fighter I tend to root for.
