ggg is the most overrated ive ever seen. as soon as he faced top fighters he didnt win or could only barely win.
Well i rate GGG over Lomachenko for sure.

Jacobs , Canelo and Lemiux are all great fighters.

Saunders could beat them all tho
Lemieux is a great fighter?
Based on what?

Lemieux is at best a C level boxer and has never done anything to prove otherwise.
He looks good crushing club fighters and takes a loss every time he's in the ring with a decent gate-keeper or better.
GGG sack hangers are the only people who have ever tried to rate Lemieux.

I did think that BJS's rant against GGG in the ring last night was funny. BJS actually criticized GGG for calling him out when BJS was out of shape and thinking about quitting the sport. "Let's fight now, since i like the sport again and I'm training again". lol. You're MW champion of the world, ya dope! How's the great GGG supposed to know when BJS is dedicated to the sport and when he's not? It was a great win. It was a lame comment.

This is technically correct, since Daniel Geale was completely shot when he fought GGG, coupled with Kell Brook only being a welterweight...
what were the indications of Geale being COMPLETELY SHOT prior to GGG fight?
Prior to the Golovkin-Geale fight, I posted a lengthy explanation about my belief of the Aussie being a shot fighter.

People didn't believe me. They said that it was Golovkin's superior ability alone that won him that fight.

They criticised my words harshly and then attacked me again for predicting that Miguel Cotto would completely destroy Geale, once again, due to my belief about the Aussie being "shot".

I was proven right, once again.

For the record, Geale's performances in the Barker and the Wood fights compelled me to believe that he was "shot". He looked awful against those guys.

Most people disagreed with me at the time, but somehow I got lucky and saw "something" that others didn't.

Sometimes I'm wrong about things, but in regards to Daniel Geale, I was 100% right.
Good job on spotting his decline before other people but I think most people missed it due to the fact that Geale was never dominant to begin with.
Obviously he had been successful but there was never a time when Geale was just walking right through the opposition.

Lemieux has always been a heavy puncher with ordinary boxing skills.

He's never shown himself to be anymore than a B+ fighter at best, and that grade is earned strictly by his power. His boxing ability has always been mediocre.

He looked bad last night but BJS fought maybe the best 12 rounds of his life.

He didn't gas like he often does. Fought at a high level throughout the bout.

IF he could maintain that level consistently in other major bouts, he would be a handful for any middleweight .

It would come down to cutting off the ring. Lemieux followed Saunders around like a hungry puppy. But he didn't have a clue how to cut him off.

If Golovkin or Canelo can solve Saunders' movement and successfully close the distance, they'll probably beat him.

BJS is loath to engage in an inside game. And he doesn't have the power to keep a Golovkin or Alvarez honest.

So if they force Saunders to fight, they're clear favorites over the Brit.

Last night Saunders looked like the 3rd or 4th best 160 pounder. Maybe he beats Daniels. Last night's version just might. The version who fought Monroe or the Russian. No.

Let's leave Charlo out. He's totally unproven. Let's see him beat a true contender before he's elevated here to ATG status.

If any of you think that BJS beats GGG; you’re all dark and idiotic.

GGG and Canelo are levels above. Jacobs beats BJS, no doubt.

I don't think GGG's 2nd best win was Lemieux. Lemieux has been overrated for years, ever since he beat N'Dam who everyone suddenly convinced themselves was some amazing fighter. That win over N'Dam remains the only meaningful win of Lemieux's career.

Don't know about hate but it's obvious there's an agenda.

Not being impressed with the bulk of Golovkin's resume is hardly an "agenda."

It's a valid viewpoint.

Those if not more rank above Lemieux. Lemieux is probably the worst boxer GGG ever fought.
Mostly agree ...
Jacobs
Canelo
Murray
Geale
Macklin
Rubio/Lemieux
Brook

I think Lemieux is about where Rubio was when GGG fought him.
In his prime, Rubio > Lemieux

This is just this thing biased fans do.
They all think BJS is great now (based on Lemieux  ),
so they must now tear down better fighters,
just in case they never fight.

Congratulations GGG fans, Gennady is popular enough for irrational hate from British fans.

It's certainly debatable that Lemieux is GGG's 2nd best win after Jacobs. Looking at his opponents' BoxRec ratings when he faced them, here are his best 10:

1. Canelo - 1,119
2. Jacobs - 372
3. Brook - 364
4. Geale - 303
5. Murray - 230
6. Lemieux - 225
7. Macklin - 201
8. Wade - 189
9. Proksa - 165
10. Rosado - 164

Firstly, most agree he deserved the W over Canelo, which would be the #1 win on his resume. Discounting that, Jacobs is definitely his best opponent - most agree Jacobs came closer to beating GGG than Canelo did. While I and most thought GGG won, it was close enough that you could give it to Jacobs without being biased.

Second best win is a tough call - Brook was borderline p4p Top 10, but came up two weight divisions. Resume-wise, Geale was stronger than anyone else on GGG's record (except Canelo) but appeared to be past his best. Murray is a good shout too after his showings against Sturm and Martinez. Lemieux was GGG's first PPV fight and held a portion of the title, plus great punching power. Macklin was up there too - robbed against Sturm, then gave Sergio a good fight before being stopped late.

Ultimately GGG doesn't have any big marquee wins, especially for a Top 5 p4p fighter, but he has been a dominant force in the division for many years and has taken on several top 10 and top 5 guys. He is simultaneously overrated and underrated by many.

Nah, Lemieux is a top win. He beat a horrible stylistic matchup like N'Dam to get his belt. Saunders would probably be GGG's second or first best win too. Also, Canelo isn't officially a win.

1. Jacobs
2. Murray
3. Lemieux

Do you think it's his fault?? I think he beats or has beaten everyone who has got in the ring or who could potentially get in the ring with him, he's got a granite chin, and a sledgehammer punch, and will fight anyone anywhere, what's overrated? You might not like the man but you have to rate the man.

Yep, there was a reason why Pavlik, Sturm, Martinez, Geale, Taylor, Barker, Quillin, Cotto, Canelo didn't fight him when they were champions.
