He might be old, but Ortiz has virtually no miles on the clock. If he lands clean, it's over.

Wilder has that kinda power too, and he's younger, longer and faster. I think he gets there with his KO shot first.

If Duhaupas can leave Wilder looking like he had gone to war. If Artur Szpilka and Gerald Washington can both be way ahead on points until Deontay lowered the boom, If Eric Molina can catch and hurt him, how can anyone confidently predict that a boxer who has been vastly superior to those guys in just about every department, can't improve on what they did?

Wilder is the hardest puncher out there but he couldn't stop Stiverne back when Bermane was a fighter not a heavy bag. Wilder eventually got rid of Duhaupas late in the fight but struggled with him up until the end. Duhaupas wasn't remotely fazed by Wilder's one-shot power, it was the accumulation that did for him, and the Frenchman didn't have the defence to avoid that accumulation.

Ortiz is, or at least has been, every bit as durable as these guys, he carries far more power and has the skills to apply that power to Deontay's chin.

Wilder might outspeed him but he sure as hell won't outbox him. Not if Ortiz is anywhere close to what he used to be. Is he though? I don't know. Neither do any of you.

Wilder was fighting very safe in all of those fights. Pre 2015 Wilder smashes those guys much faster.

I'm not going to put the slightest doubt in your mind am I Iron Frost?. No need to reply. That's a rhetorical question.

I shall leave it there.

Wilder wants to keep himself in tip top shape for 2018 it's a big year for him.
If Deontay is close to 100% right now he should fight Ortiz as soon as possible.

Fighting safe? He was wreckless as hell? What was his name again send him to hospital, Duhaupas left him with a swolen face despite he didn't even do a damn thing in the entire fight, Molina almost knocked him, the Washington fight was stopped while Wilder was massively behind on points and Washington seemed to be fully aware of what was going on but for some odd reason accepted it, and this Wilder was fighting safe? Pre 2015 he simply fought even bigger bums, no top contender ever showed a worser presentation against the same opponents Wilder fought pre 2015.

Wilder beat all of these opponents convincingly. Would do so again.

As for fighting defensively, Wilder has more than one style. He does take his time more when he respects an opponents power. Against a light puncher he tends to load up his punches earlier in the fight.

I have to say IF Wilder fights and beats Ortiz it would be a nice-good win. Wilder's best win.

wilder all day :TU:

will be a painful night for a lot of his haters, but theyve already began talking down ortiz to limit the damage.

And, the same people will build him back up if he happens to beat Wilder, so Joshua will get full credit like him beating a shot 41 yr old Wlad.

Ortiz is going to be a tough challenge for Wilder. I pick Wilder to win, but it isn't going to be easy. I think it may be a tougher fights than Joshua, but I could be wrong. Ortiz has at least as good as skills as AJ, and has a better chin and stamina even at his age.

I gladly like to see this fight and will give Wilder credits for beating his best opponent ever. Nevertheless I'd have to say that I'm highly surprised Wilder is willing to fight Ortiz for 2 mil, while he can also fight the much worser Whyte for 5 mil, but Wilder seems to run away scared for him. If Wilder beats Ortiz, without obvious bullshit going on, I do support a Wilder vs AJ fight.

Why should Fury or Wilder be Hearn's dogs? Joshua needs those big names much more than those two. Joshua is the hyped one with milion promises

Tyson Fury will probably attract quite some fans nowadays as well lol, Fury vs AJ is probably the biggest heavyweight fight possible.
