Srisaket Sor Rungvisai. Won a close decision against the p4p #1 when coming in as a huge underdog and then knocked him out in a rematch - I don't think anyone has had a good of a year as that.

Very surprising that Golovkin has had a few mentions - he barely scraped wins in both his fights (ignoring the corrupt wide scorecard against Canelo). If anything, his stature has reduced slightly imo, and I certainly can’t see how he has any argument for fighter of the year.

hes not in the running for me, as i thought he lost to jacobs and didnt really impress. but i can see both jacobs and canelo fights going his way close and if ppl felt he deserved both i can easily see why hed be there foty. jacobs and canelo is probably the strongest combo among any of the contenders.

i thought the thai also lost to roman first fight so that is why i dont pick him like many others are doing. but it was a really close fight and i can see a case for the thai winning + he won in fashion in the rematch. imo official results not be all end all.

Going life and death with a guy Fury completely humiliated almost 2 years before in his own country, and then getting a corrupt stoppage over a mediocre 2 week replacement to keep his fake KO record going?

I don't get that. Fight of the year maybe, not fighter of the year.
Fury didn't 'completely humiliate' Wlad to be fair. Wlad was favourite to win the fight after the final bell.
Favourite with who? Most people saw Fury as the clear winner. The only doubt I had was it was in Germany and Wlad may have got a stinker of a home decision.

Crawford for me. Cleaned out the division.

British Burnett. Beat two good champions with ease.

i keep see ppl saying craw because of all the titles but didnt he only win 2 this year. why should he get foty cred for winning abc belts in other years? he has a strong case but imo its not a 4 belt thing when he only won 2 for the relevant year.

Wlad was utterly humiliated. Shambolic performance against a better fighter on the night.

Not sure how Aj got on that list.

Ggg had a good year Lomachencko for me though

Loma for me clearly...then Crawford. Surprised at all the votes for GGG.....
.arguably lost vs Jacobs and wasn't exactly impressive (although won imo) against canelo. . Possibly his worse year in many a year.

Domestically Joshua....then close between Eubank jnr, groves and Saunders
