It seems pretty evident that Hearn is maneuvering to set-up a Joshua - Povetkin fight.

Also, as someone else mentioned, Joshua's resume would be like 10 times better than Wilder's if he had wins against Povetkin, Parker, Klitschko, and Takam. He would have cleaned-out the majority of his competition and left the remainder of his competition in the dust.
