Horrendous mismatch..

Dave Allen Vs Ortiz was bad but this one is a bit of a piss take imo...

Povetkin could take him out in the first.

I have a funny feeling the undercard is going to be total garbage.

People will buy it regardless, can't really blame Hearn on this one...

Yeah I know. But I’ve got tickets, so I was hoping for at least a semi-decent bill.

Povetkin wins in the 1st or 2nd round. David Price would be freaking out and flailing around nervously every time Povetkin got near him.

Price has to think of this as a 4 round fight if he is to have any chance. Come out swinging big bombs like Briggs does and just hope he gets lucky.

I don't think he has the self belief to come out swinging. I think he'll freeze up.

Hope I'm wrong. Hope he can pull it off.

He should get Briggs to train him.

I think Pricey should train with Peter Fury...

price looked a sad shell vs sokolowski.

just so on edge and jittery against a journeyman with two stoppage in around 20 fights.

when he did throw it was mostly pitter patter tapping shots and he was even more afraid to commit than usual. that long booming right was nowhere in site.

with how nervous he looks, its almost like hes tormenting and punishing himself by going on.

i can only imagine how nervous hell be fighting in front of 80-90k vs an aggressive guy whose probably still more dangerous than anyone whose already knocked him out

Price is a grown man, he has to take personal responsibility for his actions. Eddie quite rightly sees him as a marketable patsy.

Price seems like a bright guy perfectly able to weigh up the risk / reward ratio.
Assuming he gets decent pay then this absolutely.

Price is not a rambling stuttering wreck with no intelligence, he's just not a top level boxer! He's not been in the ring long enough in any kind of fight to take any sustained beatings so if he feels its worth the risk of getting sparked out again then thats his decision to make and no-one elses. If by some miracle he can uncork that right hand before taking any significant blows himself then he could win the lottery. People talk like he's some kind of simpleton ffs he must have seen replays of his own fights!

The only way Price fights in front of 80-90k people is if he does it in between rounds of the main event! The stadium will be mostly empty if/when he fights Povetkin

I don't consider Povetkin a muderours puncher despite a pretty good KO%. However, Price has looked pretty awful beyond his chin in recent contests. He's been beaten to the punch often and he's looks slow and, in a word, shot.

Can see something similar to Povetkin vs Rahman happening here.

Shameless hype fight for a potential Joshua-Povetkin fight at a later date.

If Price wasn’t English, we’d be laughing at this I reckon!

First round job
