Thanks. I think that there was little interest in those fights because most considered Muhammad Ali to still be the real heavyweight champion. The Patterson fight probably hurt as well due to the unpopular decision.

The Cleroux fight was cancelled after Bob lost what was supposed to be an easy tune up fight for him. Otherwise, that fight apparently would have been held.

God help me, but I was always morbidly fascinated with Joe Frazier's scheduled '85 match against Bob Cleroux. It was probably better that this one never came off, but I must admit my curiosity. More rationally, I wish we could've seen the Michael Spinks-Dwight Qawi rematch that was set for September 1984.
