Usyk vs top non-Holy cruisers
Re: Usyk vs top non-Holy cruisers
Usyk wouldn't land cleanly on Toney however Toney wouldn't have much opportunity to counter. It'd be a clear points win via ring generalship. Bad style matchup for James.
Re: Usyk vs top non-Holy cruisers
So Usyk vs UnHoly cruisers. He would beat them all... I would know... I am the heretic here after all
I reality there is not many Cruisers I would bet to beat Usyk.
Haye would be really tough opponent. Great speed and power. The question is could he catch Usyk or would it go the way that Wlad vs Hay match went. I can see Usyk outpointing Haye from the outside. Superior work rate could lead to points win for Usyk. Or maybe Haye would catch him after all and win by KO. 50/50 fight.
Cunningham has style that is closest to the one that Usyk has. Boxer with some power. Not enough to discourage Usyk thou. They are the same height. Cunningham has more reach. Usyk is the naturally bigger and heavier guy. I think he would weight around 220 at HW. Cunningham was around 210. I think Usyk would outpoint him mainly on superior work rate.
Adamek would be hard match. Iron chin and good work rate. He would dominate Usyk on the inside. Usyk would need to outbox him from outside. Cunningham was close of doing just that against Adamek. I think I had their second bout draw. If Usyk would box like he did against Briedis he would likely loose. He could win by sticking strictly to boxing from distance.
Qavi would would look really short next to Usyk. How rose tinted classes do you have? Lets leave it there.
Mormeck would not stand a chance.
Others I don't know well enough to comment...

He beats them all with the exception of Haye (50-50 fight that). Athletes get better with every generation. Haye is from this generation and his power and speed would cause Usyk problems.
Both beat Holyfield because athletes in all sports get better with every generation. It's why records get broken.

I agree with the first part of your post, but I would never agree with the last part. Boxing is not swimming.tigermoth87 wrote: ↑01 Feb 2018, 12:56 He beats them all with the exception of Haye (50-50 fight that). Athletes get better with every generation. generally i agree, but unfortunately, Glowacki has injury problems and fights bums. he had knee injury recently, in previous fight got a hand injury, now next week he and Wlodarczyk are back but both against bumsBoxing Writer wrote: ↑29 Jan 2018, 17:40Glowacki is better than current versions of Lebedev and Wlodarczyk - the only two opponents with pulse in Gassiev's resume.boxing_rocks wrote: ↑29 Jan 2018, 16:45He has done enough? He only has 5 fights against opponents with a pulse with only Briedis being really a top opponent at this point. Glowaki is limited, and Huck is shot. People should really wait until after the WBSS final to compare hime with Holyfield, prime Haye, Toney, etc.

Re: Usyk vs top non-Holy cruisers
..not sold on Usyk as yet, I think prime Haye could have been a too hard nut to crack..
