If we’re talking powers of recovery, James, Carl Thompson’s were notable, that Cat certainly had nine lives...

Yeah, I was fortunate enough to be there for two examples, against Haye and Rothstein.
Jealous that I didn’t get to see those live, they are both classics in their own right. You mentioning them prompted me to rewatch them on YouTube and I also found this rather nice interview with the Cat...

I remember the entire press section, myself included, and some of the officials too, jumping out of their seats cheering when Carl won, I also remember being close to tears, it was definitely one of my favourite ever boxing.

Dave Pariss was sat in front of me, and about 30 second before Carl landed that overhand right, he said "one shot from Carl and he's gone" he wasn't wrong.
