I like both of them in different ways, Eubank is deservedly favourite for the win, but Groves has skills that have hampered Jnr in the past. Can relate to Saint more than Eubank.

If Eubank stops Groves - diminish the legend of Froch ?
I go for Groves on points. I see Groves being too solid for Eubank to dominate, and Eubank just trying to steal each round.

I'm not rooting for anybody to win. I just want a good fight.

Eubank Jr is being ridiculously hyped imo. His resume is pretty weak and he’s been matched extremely carefully. The only time he stepped up he lost.
My sentiments entirely. This notion of him stopping groves baffles me. I too feel George got royally screwed in Froch 1 and think he's a likeable chap. I was there in Sheffield when he won the title and was delighted. I really hope he wins.
Whilst the stoppage may have been a little on the overly cautious side, Froch has always been a deadly finisher, and I don't see Groves surviving the onslaught that was coming. Of course, we will never know for sure, which was the shame of that stoppage. Another 5 seconds, and I think the ref's stoppage would have been at the right time.

I'd love to see Groves win by brutal KO.
I think, however, he wins on points comfortably, or via late stoppage.

You see that his one defeat was ages ago, to a guy that turns out to be really good, in his first 12 rounder, it was very close AND many people got the impression he would have won it with a bit more experience of the distance, Shirley ?

Also.
I like Groves a lot and would be happy if he won, but I'm rooting for Eubank - so much more upside for potential HOF greatness

Keep on changing my mind ...
Personally I think both fighters have improved tremendously.
Groves has shown tremendous heart & spirit to get over the Froch defeats to become a legitimate world champion.
Eubak is young and hungry ... but does he have the power to hurt Groves?
Does Groves have the ringcraft to keep Eubank off him?
Its going to be a tremendous fight

Groves for me, aside from the fact that I like him and enjoy his boxing style, a victory against Jr would go some way to repairing my tattered reputation amongst my casual boxing fan mates.
I predicted he'd beat Froch both times, they said he wouldn't...... they were right.
I predicted he'd beat Jack handily....... they said he wouldn't...... they were right.
I'm predicting a victory against Jr....... it'll be no surprise to learn that they're not.......
I was right about Degale though.

None of that detracts from the fact that he hasn’t stepped up since then and bottled the GGG fight.

Rooting for Groves. Had his ups and downs but has always been willing to step in with decent fighters.
Adamu in his 9th fight, DeGale in his 13th, a much more experienced Paul Smith in his 14th. Refreshingly, in between world title shots he's taken on decent enough fighters in the likes of Rebrasse, Gutknecht, Brophy, Murray etc. Not calling them world beaters but when you see the kind of fights the likes of Paul Smith takes after losses and expects another shot it's good to see Groves always backs himself to beat decent competition. Then there's the 2 Froch fights, Jack in Vegas and finally beating Chudinov in a good fight to become champion. Suppose the world title win would be the ultimate high but after the Froch fights I think it'd be nice to see him come out on top in one of these proper cross over fights, deserves more than to be remembered by casuals as the guy that lost to Froch and Eubank.
As others have alluded to Eubank's career has felt much more manufactured until this point. The Golovkin debacle didn't help in my eyes. He might prove me wrong if he beats Groves by going on to fight the best names, but until he shows that then I'm sceptical. I don't doubt that he's a talented fighter and he may well beat Groves, but I'm definitely rooting for George.
Agree with every word you've said mate.

I've no idea what either of them are actually like in private but George comes across as a nice chap whereas Eubank is a bit brash for my liking. Each to their own.

i imgine ppl will say jab, box, and move like bjs did in beating eubank. ppl mentions cejs work rate, and its good, but give him a moving target and im not so sure hes throwing all those punches in bunches like he does vs guys who walk to him or stand in spot
but still like eubank to do it though. cej vs callum final

But how many of those guys had Groves' power? There's no question he was hurt, but like you say — a few more seconds and he might've found another big shot. As much as he looked like an imminent canvas-tripper, he wasn't given that chance.

The thing is groves never really troubled froch after his initial success early on and his shots had less on them as the fight wore on.
