ya as mentioned fillipino fighters in general. so many upsets caused by fillipinos who are like 14-7-2. seems they start young and get thrown in tough straight away there, plus on the road a lot where decisions wont go your way as much so you rack up losses that couldve been wins.

Diego De La Hoya 20-0
25 years old, so still young. But I've seen 10 of his fights and I really am amazed how carefully he has been matched. His Boxrec page makes him out to be on the up and up, but when you see the guys fights, it looks like at 20-0 he is still fighting eazy beats. So deceptive record.

randy cabellero wasnt bad. was a good amateur and world champ a couple years earlier. i mean hes 23 and only one year older than the ted cheeseman your gushing over for beating carson jones. louis del valle was a decent prospect test too, id say as much as jones. although dlhs definitely at a point where he should be moving up a level yet he hasnt since beating cabellero

Cabellero? Look at his pro record, yes he has Am pedigree. De La H got the win, I had it way closer than the Golden Boy judges.

honestly coming in overweight and with all his wear and tear i dont think carson jones was really much more of a test than luis del valle was for de la hoya. and randy caballero had widely beaten stuey hall and was a decent fighter.

de la hoya is just 23 and his 20-0 isnt close to being one of the most padded out there. he doesnt fit in this thread at all.

Well, I used to really like him actually, but every single time he's fighting guys that have absolutely no chance against him, he's starting to become a Deontay Wilder the 2nd, he even got ranked by the WBC recently.

Neither, but he's just so far superior compared to the opponents he got, it's sad to see, it's killing, it's like AJ vs Stiverne or something like that, it doesn't make sense, it's not competative, it's dangerous.

While i was really talking about winning records, it's not too hard to pick through losing ones either, esp now with you tube.
If a fella is losing close decisions against decent home fighters you would never stick him in against a ticket seller with a padded record.

ive watched some of cuencas fights and he was fairly aggresive and coming forward, throwing plenty of power shots. even lacking power with that type of style it really surprises me he didnt stop more low level guys simply by beating them up enough. to be fair he was better than i thought hed be when i first knew about his record but hadnt seen him. not a bad little fighter but just totally powerless.

My top 2 at the moment are Yap and Miguel Roman.

Both top-tier in their divisions but high numbers in the loss column.
Roman been in a couple of FOTY candidates so starting to get the recognition he deserves.

Yap deserves his 5 minutes in the sunshine. Think he gets it this year.

Remember Jorge Amparo? He had a 8-15-1 record but went the distance with Nigel Benn, Michael Nunn, Iran Barkley, Lindell Holmes and Milton McCrory.

Sanderline Williams was another tough cookie again went the distance with Benn, Graham, Barkley, Tate, Toney, Reggie Johnson and Gerald McClellan. Retired with a 24-15-1 record.

Yeah I think it was his first after the Watson loss, think it was his first bout in the States too.

I know he is a journeyman with a losing record but I think if he’d been the right path William warburton could of been a British champion

Seen him fight loads and if/whenhe fancies it he can be a nightmare for the home fighters

if jamie cox is really as hard punching and good as ppl say he is, then only having 13 stoppages in 25 fights mainly vs nobodies is very misleading
