If I lived anywhere close to Doncaster, I would be going to see the card at The Dome rather than watching BN.
Dec Spelman-Scott Westgarth
Andy Townend-William Warburton
Curtis Woodhouse-John Wayne Hibbert
No foregone conclusion mismatches there.
Dec Spellman has a good record but I've yet to see him fight. Anyone on here know much about him?
Why is Andy Townend, a lightweight (who recently moved up from super-feather), fighting a light-middleweight jorneyman?
Woodhouse and Hibbert both seem on the slide, so that should be competitive.
Does seem a strange fight for Townend to take. Could be risking what I imagine is a decent payday for fighting Cordina on the Joshua-Parker bill, especially considering Warby, in the past couple of years, has upset more than one fighter that he wasn't supposed to beat

How many rounds is it over?
Townend was a puncher at super-feather, doubt he puts a dent in Warburton though.
If he's up for it he should be able to bully Townend and hustle him out of a decision.
Dubois to win by TKO/KO in round 1 is 6/4 on sky bet... mmm

warburtons only won 2 fights in the last 2.5 years (vs about 30 losses), the way i hear him talked about on here i expected more, though tbf i doubt he got a fair shake each time as the opponent and he did hang with some decent fighters. jason welborne probably his best win

Something very cynical about the way Dubois's opponents are selected. It's not about improving him as a fighter, it's not about getting rounds or improving, it's about him violently knocking out cruiserweights for the sake of a 30 second highlight clip on BT Sport Boxing's Twitter. Yes he's very young/green, and sure it's nothing Matchroom didn't do with AJ, but there are better ways to go about building a fighter.

By my count Warburton has won 7 fights in the last two years. We are still in 2018 aren't we? Please tell me that session on the absinthe didn't knock me out for that long!

Dubois' power is likely to bring a quick end, but Jones has been quietly building up his experience and may offer something in the time it lasts (maybe).
For me, it's nice to see Dubois defending his Southern Area title and not fighting Jones for some spurious nonsense. In that regard, it's an honest sell. As people quite rightly say, he's 19, so no need to rush at all.
I know it's been said before but Dubois is such a fvcking unit. His weight seems to be fairly consistent as well which can only be a good thing. I know it doesn't mean a great deal but his weights now (high 230lbs) as a 20 yr old are heavier than AJ's first few fights when he was 24. Joshua now scales around 250 as a 28 yr old, imagine how heavy Dubois could end up. Scary.

Poor Zelpha didn’t won’t to go anywhere near Ronnie and his leather thong - don’t blame him

Clark/Barrett is the fight of the night for me, step up for Zelfa and I'm hoping Ronnie can show him some new tricks, make the pace uncomfortable for Barrett and take him into deep waters, Clark always fights at a fast pace and I hope he doesn't get careless early going gung ho, I'm a big fan of Barrett I think he looks the real deal but this fight be a good gauge of how good he is

Rest of the card is more or less a forgone conclusion. The full card has a Friday feel about it if that makes sense.

Aye I agree totally bud, some talented fighters on the show but not enough domestic dust ups that these shows should provide, I'm big on Yarde though so hopefully see him look destructive, I remember Brahemer crumbling Averlant early a few years ago and Yarde digs to the body well so I'm expecting a similar ending

Either of you boys think Ronnie wins. I think he is a good fighter who has had to do it the hard way throughout his career but I've been very impressed with Barrett so far albeit against lesser opposition and think he will grind down Ronnie late on for the stoppage

Nah I fancy Barrett late on myself mate but it's a good fight at a good time for him because Clark will have a right go at him. As HoS said earlier, we'll learn a lot about Barrett tomorrow. Hopefully Frank keeps stepping him up gradually.

I've had to set this to record for tomorrow as I'm out with Mrs and cubs for dinner. Says the card doesn't start on BN til 8.30pm, same time as BT broadcast? Is this right? Usually it'll start a bit earlier on BN?

According to the B@xN@tion website their broadcast starts at the same time as BT's does. I'm not really impressed with this card, it just feels like what it is.......an undercard bill without a headline fight that has been moved from a bigger venue to the smaller York Hall because enough tickets weren't getting sold.
I just hope B@xN@tion broadcast Kerman Lejarraga v Bradley Skeete from Spain next month to compensate for tonight's rather underwhelming show.

the card starts on both channels at the same time. 8.30pm.
Seems daft to me.
Why not show the full undercard on B0xNati0n, grab people and build the show before switching over to BT Sport.
Weird set up...

Yeah agree mate I think we will learn a lot about Barrett tonight. I hope he don't get drawn into a fight and sticks to his boxing
