Even if Eubank stops Groves it may not say that much about his power. Not like he's known for his iron chin or never losing his form and falling apart a little in tough fightss

Perhaps, but I feel it takes a pretty good banger to bring Groves down.Counter-puncher wrote: ↑16 Feb 2018, 14:53 Even if Eubank stops Groves it may not say that much about his power. Not like he's known for his iron chin or never losing his form and falling apart a little in tough fightss
Froch did it twice. He can punch. Jack, a decent but not outstanding puncher, couldn't (even if he did deck Groves).
I expect Groves will hit the canvas tomorrow. Eubank has good power to go along with quick hands.
Whether he stops Groves depends on how aggressive Eubank dares to be.

It groves falls apart it will be because of jr's stamina and pressure.

Just as an aside, Eubank, who opened as a -220 favorite, is now just a slim -165 choice.
Bettors believe the bout will be a lengthy one, with over 10.5 rounds the -125 pick.

We’ll find out tomorrow. I think he’s better than what you do. Number 1 though...hoping for a good fight. Number 2....hope I’m rightCounter-puncher wrote: ↑16 Feb 2018, 07:42Next you'll be telling me he never squares up, never lunges over his front foot, and has delicate, precise, neat footwork and perfect balancelazboy wrote: ↑16 Feb 2018, 07:06For fk sake if you don’t think his head movement is decent then you’re watching the wrong Eubank. This is the first time I have seen anyone suggest Eubank has good head movement
I suspect it's a suggestion that the fight will contradict, to say the least
I love the Yildrim KO too bro, but 10 consecutive wide hooks, chin in the air the whole time (actually he got clipped a couple of times there) tells you all you should need to know about his head movement. He sometimes moves his head when on the outside but completely forgets it almost every time he thinks about letting shots go
I don't think I'd even call his head movement average
Re: Punching power - George Groves (SMW) ?
Didn't Murray claim Groves had great power with that back hand? I believe him. Groves can flat out punch, and his size for the weight helps that too. It's his other shortcomings that made Eubank the favorite.

Yep and it was a reasoned interview as well where he said triple g was a more consistent puncher but groves had more solid power.

The only fighter to give Froch spaghetti legs ever (Taylor was a flash KD)SenorPipino wrote: ↑15 Feb 2018, 14:29 I gave Groves a 7. Obvious power.
But he really hadn't turned the KO trick against the true world class fighters so I can't go higher.
I 'd be stunned if Groves was able to stop Eubank. His history just doesn't suggest it even if he is the naturally bigger man.
Nobody asked me but I'd give Eubank a 6.5.
Groves hits like a mule
And if it's Eubank who turns the KO trick, maybe you'll rethink your rating system.

Counter you were right. Not sure what I was thinking. He was completely out-skilled. No excuses. He was dominated and looked ridiculous. Congrats to the boxer with the strong fundamentals not sure why I would go against that. I need to take a good hard look at myself.
