Arturo Gatti isn't listed, maybe because it was eventually classed as suicide but I know there was some question marks over his death.
Gatti's death was definitely dodgy

This seems like an appropriate thread on which to raise the Liston question. Official cause of death was congestive heart failure. A significant number of people believe(d) something far more sinister.
I have read multiple articles on the subject and have never really been able to make up my mind as to what to believe.
Thoughts?
I thought he was found with a needle in his arm and the story goes that it was made to look like a drug overdose but he was scared of needles or something like that
There were supposedly needle marks on his arm but many who knew him spoke of Sonny's fear of needles. This article, one of the more interesting I have read on the subject, makes reference to that.

Funny this thread should pop up, I was only thinking about Brett Flourney the other day. Talented southpaw who was in Prizefighter, think he lost to Prince Arron.
Also Stanley Ketchel wasn't he popped off by a lover's husband or something with a shotgun?!

Very sad for all involved but he knew the game he was playing. Always makes me sad for the families left behind.

There were claims from members of Valero's family that a police officer had strangled him whilst colleagues held him down and that they then strung him up in the cell when he was already dead. However, there appeared to be no evidence to support this

I don't believe that version of events either. Apart from anything else, I am certain that by now one of the officers involved would have blown the whistle, probably in return for immunity from prosecution and a tidy sum of money from the newspaper who got to break the story

Richie Evatt. Was anyone convicted of his murder? I read someone was arrested on suspicion of his murder.

Stanley Ketchel was murdered
Al "Bummy" Davis got stabbed by some guy that was trying to rob a bar, and died.
There's a book by Nigel Collins called "Boxing Babylon" that those interested in this subject might want to read. It contains many of the Tragic stories of Boxers who were great in the ring, but suffered untimely ends.

Maybe his wife's family paid them off or they just took a dim view of a wife murderer.
A video of his body in the cell did the rounds, it had been very badly staged. There was a rope across the cell like a washing line and his body was just hanging over it by the neck.

That Vernon Forrest murder case is bizarre . Guy gets robbed on gun point. Chases the the robber with hes own gun. They have fire fight and the robber escapes. In the end the robbers pal shoot Vernon in the back several times and kills him.
What the eff was he thinking? That hes some kind of real life action hero? IF he did the sensible thing and not chase the armed robber he would still be alive
He had his 11 year old god son with him at the time too
Watched too many godfather films?

Denis Boytsov could almost be on the list... Except he didn't die and the incident was ruled as an accident. I have to say I have my doubts about that "accident". Dodgy stuff.
