Epic. In my top 5 favourite fights.
Is it true none of his team even went to hospital with him? Apparently the trainer made sure he got his dough then fukked offthepocketrocket wrote: ↑26 Feb 2018, 12:27 I have always wondered about the useless camp in the McClellan corner. It seems true that GM wanted to quit, but plenty of fighters have wanted to quit, have been persuaded not to, then gone on to win. Morales wanted to quit against McCullough famously. Is it the corner's job to stop them bailing?
Would love a cornerman's opinion on the night.
I read that in 'War, Baby'.....insane stuff!Stuarty wrote: ↑01 Mar 2018, 05:31Is it true none of his team even went to hospital with him? From round one he was fighting to survive, even in the round mcClellan took the knee benn looked out on his feet, fightin in pure emotion. I rememeber watching this and as soon as been got knocked through the ropes my heart just started racing i was think "sh1t dont get knocked out in round 1" from then on i was thinkin its just a matter of time before gerald got him
I think its the trainers job to know his fighter and if he says he cant carry on its up to the trainer to know if he has more in the tank or if he is done. Dont know if you watch ufc but there was a womans fight about two weeks ago one tild her corner at the end of round 3 i think, that she was done the corner threw he back in and she got her nose shattered and visciously stopped now that is the corners fault.thepocketrocket wrote: ↑26 Feb 2018, 12:27 I have always wondered about the useless camp in the McClellan corner. It shows the importance of a good corner, and having the ability to know when the fighter is just having a crisis of confidence, and when they are done.
