It's hard to find recent videos of him and he hasn't fought a top guy yet, but it would be great for boxing if China could have a boxing champion especially a heavy. It could make boxing very popular in that massive and incredibly dynamic country.

Zhang should fight Charr vs Oquendo winner and take that bogus WBA regular title. He is prety good, but I don't see him beating Wilder and Joshua.

No miss for me...

i was really excted for it in 2016 when pov was on the stuff and a beast. but now hed get easily destroyed. hes stlll good but not elite with aj and deontay.

Agreed...I was excited for a good HW fight, but...nope.

At the time he was scheduled to fight Wilder it would have been a fantastic pick 'em fight. I don't see that Wilder has anything to fear from Povetkin now though, I'm sad to say. Not big enough, not young enough, not quick enough.

With Luis Ortiz being a fellow PBC stablemate, it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that the Cuban could be offered another crack at Wilder’s WBC world title.

For some strange reason, Deontay has priced himself out of a highly-lucrative match-up against Matchroom’s Dillian Whyte. He doesn’t appear to want that fight, as he demands more than three times the amount he received against Luis Ortiz in order to face the Brit. I’m not saying he’s ducking, but his payday expectations seem unreasonable to me.

The American could be tempted to face the winner of the Bellew-Haye rematch, though Wilder will probably expect Matchroom to propose an inordinately huge offer in order for him to accept that bout.

Dominic Breazeale is also one of Wilder’s PBC stablemates, as is Charles Martin and Adam Kownacki, with all three fighters being highly-rated by the WBC, as well as none of them having fights lined-up. So they’re likely to be considered also.

I expect Wilder to be given a relatively easy test in his next outing, because Deontay himself, Shelly Finkel, Showtime, Al Haymon et al won’t want to risk derailing a money-spinning title unification super-fight against Anthony Joshua, now that the American has finally validated his credentials against Ortiz.

It might have to be the Whyte/Brown winner, if the WBC enforce it as mandatory.

The other option is Whyte/Browne gets told to fight Breazeale in a final eliminator, then Wilder fights one of the PBC heavyweights.

Joshua either takes care of Povetkin as a mandatory, or Miller in the US if that doesn't get enforced.

Joshua might fight him, to raise his profile in the US, but I'd be massively disappointed if he did and I'd expect it to end fairly early.

Get him out of the way so I don't have to see or hear him (Big Fatty) again. We'll know who's champ when that person "cleans out" the division.

Wach and Washington are both better wins than Szpilka. Duhaupas will be too if Miller can beat him.

Szpilka has beaten no one of note. He got beaten and KOd easily by Jennings and even Mollo had him going life and death twice. I have no idea why people rate Szpilka.
