This fight is ALOT more competitive than the books expected. Garcia is barely winning.

Knockdown just broke open a close fight. Lipinets really up against it now.

Lipinets won 1 clear round.. Maybe another close round. But the knockdown is not good.

Lipinets needs to sweep the last 3 rounds to have any chance whatsoever. He probably needs a KO.

im not sure 140 is mikeys best weight, hes deffo maxed out there and can expect a big effectiveness drop if he goes to 47 imo

I very much hope he goes back down and fights Linares. That's more interesting than any possible fight at 140 at the moment I think.

Breakdown from BS

Garcia started the first round by pumping his jab and controlling most of the action with that punch. Lipinets was starting to jab in the second, but Garcia was outlanding him in a calculated boxing match. The nose of Garcia began to bleed at the end of the second from Lipinets' jab.

They were trading some hard shots at the start of the third. Garcia's nose was bleeding pretty bad. Garcia was landing some very hard shots that Lipinets was taking well. Lipinets was jabbing to the body and picking up the pace with his punches in the fourth. Garcia continued to land some hard shots and Lipinets was still taking them well and looking to counter back.

Garcia started off the fifth round by throwing hard power shots. Lipinets was having brief moments of success, but allowing Garcia to come back with solid shots. Lipinets was going more to the body in the sixth and looking to break down Garcia, who was staying on his back foot and boxing. A cut opened up around the left eye of Lipinets.

They were exchanging some very hard shots in the seventh and left hand dropped Lipinets for the first time in his career. Lipinets beat the count and seemed fine. Garcia went after him, looking to do more damage with hard punches. A very solid eight round where both had their moments with landed shots.

The ninth round was close as Lipinets continued to rally and Garcia had his moments as well. For much of the tenth, Garcia was simply boxing as Lipinets was looking for something big. Another close round in the eleventh, with Garcia having the edge with his boxing ability.

In the twelfth, Garcia was landing the better punches. Lipinets was pushing forward, applying pressure, but unable to hurt Garcia. Lipinets was game until the final bell as they traded hard shots.

He already said, he feels much better 135.. It's his ideal weight.. Even though he dropped Lipinets tonight. That was a clean punch that landed..

Garcia can stop majority of the guys at 135.. He's not even 30 yet..

I think Garcia eventually moves up to 140 full time in 2 years..

Garcia is arguably the best around today.
