glad i was awake for this (not so good it was due to a dodgy takeaway) , great fight. fight being the operative word, those watching in the morning won't be disappointed.

I don't know what that 115-113 or 120-108 judge was watching.

berna was awful. no offence but pretty everyone out of hungry seems to suck. if i see that an opponents hungarian i pretty much immediately am disappointed
imre szello the cruiserweight is okay, lazlo toth is a decent test for b level prospects at welter, but thats about the best it gets right now.

Yeah wouldn't mind having a few bouts over there on the back of watching some of them.

At the time of the stoppage, Verdejo was leading 87-84 and 86-85 on two scorecards and Lozada, who won his seventh fight in a row, was ahead 86-85 on the third scorecard.

Jose Ramirez's pressure (67 thrown per round) and power punching (19 of 45 per round) was the difference. Ramirez came on strong, outlanding Amir Imam 97-42 in power shots over the last four rounds to win a twelve round unanimous decision.

Verdejo was a hype job. I have said it on this forum for years.
Highlight reel KOs against wasters who offered nothing back. He was dire in his last fight against Flores.
It's a shame Flanagan wasn't the one to expose him

Main event didn't do anything for me. Just hope the WBC enforce the Prograis fight immediately. I fancy Prograis to stop Ramirez.
I don't rate Josh Taylor like some do on here but I think he would wipe the floor with Ramirez to be honest.

Did anyone score Verdejo's fight up until he was KO'd?

I just think there are better fighters at the weight, and there's not much talent depth.
Also Amir Imam getting a world title fight is a joke. There's only one reason he did and that is Don King.

His power seemed to completely go when he stepped up.
Also, one other thing about last night. Either his opponent came in looking like a middleweight or Vedejo is seriously small for the weight. It was one of more clearer cases of a guy looking a couple of divisions heavier than his opponent.

Great wee fight that, it was competitive but I thought Ramirez won it comfortably down the stretch, 117-112 was my card, he seemed to want it more than Imam, was busier, always tried to get the last word in the exchanges and didn't mind it scrappy once in a while, he just kept punching and Imam never looked happy when he was being hustled
I thought Imam had his moments and done a good job of rolling off a lot of Ramirez's work but Ramirez was that busy he was still landing his fair share, whenever Imam landed Ramirez would come firing back and the more the fight went on the bigger the gap got, I think Ramirez hurt Imam in the 6th as well

Ramirez v Imam was a sensational fight. 2018 fight of the year contender.
Both guys really put in on the lIne and treated the MSG fans to a cracker.
I can only imagine what sort of war Ramirez and Prograis would serve up

Arum wants them to have Interim fights on the same card before their actual fight.
