I fully understand it goes against the current model of boxing. But for a sport that has dwindling ratings. It might be time to revise the current model
Totally!! We're losing the sport. I watched a baseball game today and saw some of where America is losing it's HW boxers, because boxing can be so rigged. Stanton 6'6" 250lbs and Judge 6'7" 282lbs. I'm sure the corrupt business side pushes these guys to other sports. Used to be everyone knew who the HW champion was. Sad. Until it's a single global sanctioning organization, it's hopeless.
I couldn't agree more that boxing is corrupt and rigged, but also the US has almost no organized boxing training programs. I think the only US college with a boxing provram is West Point, and I don't know if it still does. When i was in college i wanted to go out for boxing but the closest thing i could find was wrestling, which i knew nothing about, except can i wear a mask and bring a folding chair into the ring with me?

I'll say this. If Parker wins, it opens up the HW division to a lot of fighters. Also, we'll have to wait even longer for a unification bout. I just don't see it. Joshua too strong; too big; too good. I hope I'm wrong.
Do you think it would be a bad thing for business if Joshua lost?
Yes...for Eddie Hearn(ia) and AJ.
You guys are terrible businessmen and thinkers.... It would be fabulous for Boxing if Parker won...
The Patterson vs Johansson Trilogy was nothing until Johansson scored the upset... He was a big underdog.
Ali-Norton 1 didn't do a thing.... Ali-Norton 2 was damned big and pulled 4 X the interest... Ali-Norton 3 was massive.
It would actually be a good thing and shake up the division.... Joshua and Parker would each make twice as much in the rematch because people would know it's an extremely competitive match-up... People love drama and suspense.
If Wlilder fought Ortiz in a rematch it would be much bigger as well... Either man could win by KO and the first fight was damned good and beyond expectations... And they both learned a Hell of a lot about each other.
I don't think the above scenarios will happen... Joshua will KO Parker as expected and no trilogy will happen.... And the Wilder team isn't going to give Ortiz another shot at Wilder... Power players in Boxing are too risk adverse right now.

I'm expecting Joshua to win this one fairly easily - he's simply too big and too strong. Parker is probably the best challenger out there besides Wilder, but that just tells you how good Joshua is (or how lacking the division is post Klitschko era).
Parker is taking a huge gamble, and his whole team seem to be a bit naive. This is a massive step up in opposition (and prize money no doubt), but bravery will not be enough against sheer power.
I'm expecting to see a lighter and faster Joshua dominate a game Parker. Joshua's team must be fully aware of his comparitive weaknesses and I expect they have been working on them assiduously. Nothing against Parker, he's done everything the hard way, and is probably the no 3/4 in the world right now but Joshua is no 1.

Since I'm a CEO I guess you're correct that we're terrible businessmen...(your comments are amazing really!)...Every unexpected change opens up new opportunities.. Please stop insulting...it has nothing to do with the debate/discussion. Doesn't help .
If AJ comes in heavy like last time (or heavier) I will go with Parker by late stoppage. If AJ is lighter (even a few pounds) I'll pick him. Parker is getting seriously underrated by almost everyone; Fury and Ruiz are not world beaters, but both are spoilers and hard to look good against. I think that is bringing Parker down in a lot of peoples eyes. AJ will not be looking to spoil, he'll give Parker what he wants. If AJ is in fighting shape he'll take it, but if he's overbulked he's going to get found out and Parker is tough and gritty enough to do it.
That’s bold mate I do hope you’re right, I’m looking at the weigh in as well. I’ll be rooting for Parker but I think AJ is too good, but he’s not doing himself any favours if heavier. I reckon Parker will stay to long in the pocket and get hurt though regardless. Ajs power is tremendous. Expecting a pretty action packed fight as Parker will come to fight and is far more offensive than really anyone AJs fought if you ask me.
Ultimately coming in heavier will slow AJ down, and Parker will be his second best opponent. Parker doesn't hit like Wlad, but he will be much more active and Wlad had AJ on queer street several times but was too old/spent to finish. If AJ starts gassing or gets heavy arms Parker can make him pay. If AJ is in fighting shape I can't see Parker having much success at all though. Josh has too many physical advantages.
All that being said, AJ will be far and away Parkers best foe, and Parker hasn't looked good in any of his last three appearances though I really believe there is more to him than meets the eye. It's going to be a fun fight.
Ok...you got your weigh-in...what's the prognosis? (I'm assuming Joshua given he's come in a bit lighter.)

Now that AJ is closer to 17st, he will beat Parker.
But, it will be tougher than most think. Let’s hope for good HW fight.
Wilder/Ortiz was great, AJ/Klitschko was a classic; best HW fight since Vitali/Lewis.

I hope you are right. I just see it as a blow out.
Parker has never impressed me.
I hope he proves me wrong

Hope you are right, but AJ came in great shape and will be a bit quicker than his last couple fights.

I don't get the Parker hype. He looked very average against Ruiz and I didn't see the Fury fight but I heard the same. All signs point to AJ beating the hell out of him.

I think some of us are looking at the no-brainer AJ wins and thinking it's too easy...AJ's a monster and I too am not that impressed with Parker.

Ruiz and Fury are possibly better technical boxers than AJ, they will make people look bad repeatedly. Parker will look better in defeat than he did in victory maybe. Styles make fights and all that.

AJ points I have a feeling that Parker will be outboxed but take AJ the distance

With all due respect, perhaps you are conflating technical skills with awkwardness? I just don't see them being better technically than AJ...and I don't' necessarily like AJ.

Joshua looks more powerfully built and in better shape than Parker so I pick him by KO.

I believe Parker will have his moments and his overall stock among posters here will rise. AJ wins by TKO in 11.

Parker wins rd .5-7 TKO due to accidental headbutts.

I personally think that AJ would win this one at almost any weight, but coming in light does please me. It says to me that he is really taking this one seriously.
Honestly, since Parker has stepped up in levels he has not looked that good. He could have lost decisions against Takam, Ruiz or Fury. I look at the performance against Takam, then compare it to the same performance by Joshua. Takam almost teed off at will against Parker, whilst against Joshua the closest he got against Joshua was an accidental headbutt. Joshua beat him into a bloody mess.
Parker has never met a puncher like Joshua, and he is going to be in for a massive surprise when he lands for the first time. The only way I see Parker win this one is if he's seriously addressed his defensive failures, which I strongly doubt he has. It'll just be a matter of time before a doctor pulls Parker out.
