least it shows he's got the bit in his teeth and wants to avenge the loss. Probably bigger money fights he could chase. Whilst I think there careers are probably on different trajectories, it was a good fight in which brook showed, if nothing else, he has the class.

Why would Spence take the rematch? Makes no sense. Hes the 147 champ so why would he move up a weight to fight for no title against a guy he already knocked out? As for brook being more powerful at the weight it didnt seem to help him vs GGG who said he had no power. Brook should be begging for the Charlo or Hurd fight. I bet his next fight is another crap one which goes in line with 95% of his career.

Brook is far better than Peterson and light years ahead of the names being talked about for the next opponent...

After Spence-Crawford (which is the real fight at 147)...I'd rather see this fight than any other.

Brook needs to give Spence a reason to want to take the rematch at 154. He needs to win a title then call him up to challenge for it, otherwise its not going to happen.

What you're missing is, who caused the eye injury? Apart from accidental clash of heads, who causes a cut over a boxers eye? Its his opponent.. while Brook was doing well at the start, Spence was also working on Brook.. Broke him down mentally and physically..

It's like the GGG-Brook fight. A lot of people saying Brook started well, and he did.. but it was GGG's power and punch that broke his socket.. it's part of boxing..

And eye injury isn't accidental.

I'd watch a rematch at 154 for a title no problem. It would be competitive in my opinion though I'd back Spence to win on points. The trajectories at this point work in Spence's favour.

I wouldn't mind seeing it again if Brook managed to prove himself and beat a Hurd, Lara, Charlo etc... I can't see that happening though tbh. Also there's some massive fights for Spence at 147 so I can't see him moving up anytime soon and Brook has already been talking about retirement.....

He'll probably be looking to fight the Ali v Smith winner. That's the easiest route to a strap as things stand. Obviously the one he really wants is Khan. That could end up going tits up if Amir fights anyone with a pulse after LoGreco.

Anyone can start a fight well.. it's how you finish it.. Brook and Spence both started the fight well, but Brook was doing the better work at the start. If he gasses or tires out, that's his fault. It's a 12 round fight. I like to think Spence was slowly breaking Brook down..

He gassed because he killed himself making the weight..... 154 different fight

People don't mention this enough. Brook might have slowed down because of the weight cut, but he also slowed down because Spence was ripping him with body shots from the start. Spence knew it was going to be a long, hard fight so he went downstairs early, he got the game plan right.

I tend to agree. If Kell hadn't been battered by GGG maybe he wouldn't have also been battered by Spence but both batterings happened and he is surely on the inevitable decline.

If he truly believes he can get revenge at 154 he should move up before Errol and take a title off Hurd or Charlo then call him out then.

I can't see that working for him out but I'd be happy to watch.

Obviously I understand a punch caused the injury, but it came against the run of play.

There was no 'breaking down' process at work UNTIL that injury occurred. Brook had looked comfortable until that point. If Spence had been in control when the injury happened then it would be fair to say he was on the way anyway.....but he simply wasn't. Hence why a rematch at 54 is very interesting.

Let's see brook in a proper fight before passing judgement. When is the last time won a tough gritty fight.. probably in winning the title. His successful title defences were poor....as was rabencko (Not poor as a comeback opponent but not a good yard stick to show how much he has left at elite level).

People say Brook killed himself to make 147, maybe but he STILL didn't rule out Khan at 147 even after beating rabchenko.

I am a fan and he's shown great balls in the past. But there is a time when a fighter loses it....Rabencko wasn't a big enough test to show he still has it . Looking great against an over the hill sub world class fighter is a mile away from Spence.
