Adamek should retire now. Abell is freakin' terrible. Abysmal even.

He should've BEEN retired, but if he can still make money in Poland against not too dangerous guys...I mean you gonna pay his bills for him?

Dude's getting it while the getting is good. I say go for it as long as they keep the matchmaking realistic. I don't wanna see 'em throwing Adamek in there with any of the top guys anymore because he can't compete at that level at this point.

well Adamek should actually retire some time ago, but if he is still able to beat guys like Kassi, Abell, being well ahead on points with Molina etc then im okay with him fighting C or B level opposition, people still want to watch his fights, it was a PPV in Poland. Adamek could beat both Szpilka and Molina in rematch. it's not like Roy Jones case, Adamek is still alive

Adamek's boxrec rating has been inflated for a while. Unfortunately, after beating #31-ranked Abell, the inflation will continue. Adamek might even be in boxrec's top 15 after today.

LOL! The funniest thing in your post is Abell at 31. Really says a lot about the state of the HW division. He looked God Awful today. Adamek is now the mandatory. LMAO!

A bit of embellishment alluded to in the prior post. "The inflation will continue." BTW, I couldn't have been more wrong on this fight!

I'm glad I was like "Jesus Christ please tell me he's not a mandatory of some big belt" AJ or Wilder would absolutely slaughter him at this point.

Hell so would Joseph Parker or Pulev or probably even the Charr/Oquendo winner...though actually him against the Charr/Oquendo winner might be competitive  ...provided that ever happens that is, and doesn't just get rescheduled again and again forever until the end of time.

OMG!!! You're too funny. I was joking that he was the mandatory for a title! I can't believe you took that seriously! I guess you really can't stand the ratings systems! (even more then me). ...hmmm...one never knows!

Abell climbed like 160 spots in a short time mostly due to beating John Nofire and Krzysztof Zimnoch. With a fighter's ranking ranging that much in a short time, it is bound to be way incorrect either before, after, or both.

It seems that none of the organizations had Adamek or Abell in their top 15 prior to this fight, so I think Adamek might stay far away from a title fight for now. However, the IBO's computerized rankings had them at #18 and #29, so Adamek will probably be climbing into the top 15, maybe top 10, after the next update. I doubt that will be sufficient land him a shot at Joshua anytime soon.

Does the IBO ever try to enforce mandatories? Don't know if I ever recall hearing somebody getting stripped of the IBO...just heard of a lot of guys dropping it willingly because they don't think it's worth the sanctioning fees

Even if they did, Povetkin is the IBO #1. If Joshua did fight Povetkin next, it would probably buy him an extent respite from fighting another IBO mandatory for a while.

I hadn't seen him live in quite some time. I do believe he got even worse! If that's possible. I can't stand when fighters run up on beating nobodies or never was.

Are we allowed to exchange fight links here now? If so, it would make this place much more useful

You were spot on! Adamek moves up to 15. Hard to imagine him beating a lot of fighters below him...what a joke! :brick:

Adamek vs Chisora is for me like 50/50, well, maybe 55/45 Chisora, i think he could beat the likes of Browne, Charr, Helenius etc, above of him are Martin and Hammer, i give Adamek some chances against them too
