look at there past numbers, those are how we know what guys generally draw, those are how guys get certain paydays signed even before fight night. thats why aj can expect more then hughie fury
50m is at like 10m more then the combined amounts wlad, aj, wilder, and ortiz got for there fights. and it would all go to aj. maybe there is 50m but someones prob taking a loss for that maybe you dont bother to look at the figures out there and thats why your dumbfounded why ppl question the amount? ofcourse its pretty clear on the narrative you want to keep reading
and what with the 24 hour stuff anyway?why rush it ?

Wilder vs Joshua is bigger than either of those fights. This is will determine an undisputed, undefeated champ. It's the biggest fight in boxing. Common sense says it will do better than those fights. wlad vs aj wasn't even PPV on showtime. Now they will be charging 80 dollars. I don't expect common sense to shine through on this topic on this forum though.

wlad was an even bigger money maker then wilder (wilders career high purse 2.5m) who regularly did 1m+ on us tv and was even bigger in europe. and your talking about all those fighters money combined falling millions and millions short of what aj would get alone. and wilder would still presumably want well over 12.5m
common sense looks at the numbers these guys have actually done and says 50m with wilders big demands doesnt add up, and just look at your hypocrisy, going on about crystal balls but then right after just doing the same thing, except based on less evidence
wilder and aj arent going to do big ppv in the states btw, aj barely does 300k there on showtime without ppv. hes hardly anyone there. and wilder isnt a big star at all, his biggest money fight was for a total of 2.6m between him and ortiz
and ya, 24 hour deadline and no contract and mystery venue? great way to legitimize the offer

This fight will be between 2 unbeaten guys who look in great shape and will be for every heavyweight title with the winner being the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.
It's not really a hard sell to the Vegas casinos, tv networks in the US will know they can sell pop and sponsorship with ease.
This money is easily achievable

wilder is already an american olympian and hw champ whose 6'7 , looks in great shape, kos everyone, talks big, etc, and the biggest money fight for him was the 2.6m total between him and ortiz. he made 900k a few fights ago. hes not a ppv level draw or money maker there
and aj does low us numbers despite looking the part and all that you said. in the usa hes hardly a big step up on ortiz for recognition. he may be less known actually
there just isnt the big interest in these guys or hw boxing in the us
wlads us numbers were as good as wilders, he was way bigger in europe, etc, yet him and aj
combined were millions off 50m. this fight isnt going to do tens and tens and tens and tens of millions better then that
can anyone actually use evidence to add these massive collosal numbers up?

This will be billed as the fight of the century. Not a gimmick match between a boxer and a cage fighter, not a guy moving up to weight disadvantage, not 2 legends past their prime. This is the fight to see who is the real champion of the world.
The above is all true and it won't take much to sell. People will want to be there for it. The casinos will want those people and their high rollers to be in Vegas for it.
Previous stuff in Alabama goes out the window as this is the biggest fight in decades

No need to act like a pompous twat really is there. You're not going on evidence either mate. You're going on assumption too based on completely different situations.
Do you know what a casino would pay for a site fee?
Do you know about the discussions that have been had with tv networks and their pop expectations?
Do you know the expected ticket sale price?
If you know the above then I apologise completely. If Not, do not claim to be using
evidence

neither has even done a us ppv, they arent going to be a huge fight among the us crowd. when was the last time a guy went from a career high of 2m and never being on ppv, to a few months later being the american a-side of a 100m fight, vs someone whod never even fought in the us?

And Wilder is doing it for America so the interest will be there. Bringing all the heavyweight titles back to America. The fight has potential to be marketed very well, it's already the most talked about fight in boxing. Plus, it's got two explosive punchers in there with good highlight reels and that can be marketed. With the right hype this can definitely do 1 million+ buys (Ronda Rousey did 1.1 million buys in her last fight). At 80 quid a pop, thats 80 million there already.

past numbers count hugely, thats how deals are worked out for fights that have yet to happen. past numbers give great insight to a fighters ability to draw and generate money
they are a lot more significant then 'oh but it will be huge in the us because they look in great shape etc'

it was easy to predict huge numbers, there both bonafide ppv stars who generate huge money. both are mainstream celebrities in the usa, and known internationally. biggest ever money draw in boxing and biggest ever in thriving ufc. it wasnt even floyds first 9 figure fight
meanwhile ajs unknown in the us and wilder at his career high does 1m viewers on normal showtime and averages 1.4m purses and has never been on ppv. americans just dont care all that much about him or hw boxing, even though he looks the part, does alll the right things, etc

When was it predicted that a mixed fight would generate record numbers? Someone had to support the initial idea. Probably someone with a marketing and tv background saw something that had a USP and saw an opportunity to make money.
Naysayers on the internet then lap it up

Theres no point continuing this conversation, we will just have to see what happens. People are lacking in marketing knowledge as has been said. This fight will be huge. 1.3 million tuned in to see Wilder vs fat Stiverne for the title on Showtime.
I doubt Hearn and Joshua accept the offer though because Hearn will want to be in control. Joshua is probably getting a bollocking for his "give me 50 million and i'll take the fight tomorrow" comment.

Exactly. It's all a complete unknown at the minute but financially, it's possible.
The 24 hour deadline is a gimmick. Plenty of this type of thing is going to happen because it builds hype and hype builds interest and finances!!

In the ring after the Parker fight, Joshua said live on TV that he wouldn't travel to the States to fight Wilder. IMO him and Hearn will be giving their reasons not to.
