Kono was a good win, I know it was stopped for a cut, but Maloney had the better of him. He has fought some tough Thais, as you say, not at the level of the other guys in the WBSS. I've only seen him twice. We used to get a fair bit of Aussie boxing, in the last 2 years almost nothing which is a shame.
He is still a fairly credible entrant. I don't think anyone is going to have an easy night on their way to inevitably beating him.

I've been following the Moloney twins for a while. Glad Jason has got the shot. Good name recognition for him.

he doesnt have an established world level record, but has defo looked good to me, i think hes a good inclusion as someone who hasnt fully proven themselves but looks to have potential to be a world class fighter. a bit like how ward was entering the super series vs more established names, albeit without an olympic gold

Thoughts? A decent name but probably has to be considered an outsider imo.

Probably just waiting to announce him last to make a big impact. I heard the other was going to be the winner of the French guy and the Thai fighting for the vacant WBA title, but that fight seems to have been called off.
