Please tell me that no one's going to fall for this one again. JCCJR was fun to watch at one brief moment in his career but I don't care to see this spoiled trust fund punk in the ring again.
Fewer and fewer fans will pay attention to him but I have a hunch that his fights will still attract more eyeballs than 85% of other boxers.
Until it's proven that Junior's name no longer brings in even a peso, he'll keep reappearing.
It's remarkable how much Mexico loves JCCSR that they will continue to treat JR like a rock star after being so embarrassingly outclassed in his three biggest fights. I'd be generous to give him 2 rounds out of those 3 fights. Mexico has way too many super fighters to be excited about right now to invest in this chump again.
He's the son of the Legend.
Mexicans would feel guilty for abandoning him.
Junior isn't actually beloved by Mexican fans (mainly because he's badmouthed his father publicly in the past) but he is La Raza and they'll continue to back him until he retires.

The part that must have been left off the quote is "Then Gennady Golovkin... if he is blindfolded for the fight"
Even then, I'd take GGG by early and destructive KO.

Chavez Sr without doubt was one of the greatest boxers of this age
But I think I've seen enough of Jr now to know he really doesn't seem to care and would prefer to roll out of bed onto the scales and into the ring.
I think he has a lack of dedication he's unmotivated and lazy, shame he has the ability to be in some entertaining bouts should he want to get it together.

Is Chavez Jr. unfairly held to a higher standard than other boxers of equal or lesser talent and the same questionable dedication?
Does his lineage saddle him with intense criticism from fans who ignore or overlook the same type of performances and behavior from other boxers?
