Broner is one of the stupidest human beings on the planet. He overestimates everything about himself. His own talent, his own value...everything.
He's a fool, and he'll ultimately wind up where he belongs. In Prison or in the Gutter.
He wont end up in the gutter when you have idiot promotors offering him that amount money, cleverley had a better record than him and i bet he didnt end up with a quarter of what hearn offered this fool
Thing with Broner is you can sell as a B side idiot. 'Roll up roll up and watch Adrien Broner get beaten up.' But you can't do the opposite and make Broner the sort of guy people want to come along to support. He's also not that good.
So whilst you're right to talk about numbers like you do, guys like Broner have an odd sort of commodity by virtue of being a dickhead.

Can you imagine his 6 baby momma's seeing he has turned down all that money. What a fool for making it public- and pissing off the (now) biggest boxing promoter in the world. He isn't going to make that sort of cash with anyone else. He already is a gatekeeper of an undetermined weight class on the precipice of career implosion.
Why Eddie would even want this potential jailbird is anyone's guess
Has he pissed another promoter as well?

Nail on the head there, bruv.
People pay money to see Broner getting a kicking. Right now, his involvement vs your "looking to get a title shot guy" turns the bloke from "talented but unknown in America" to "Didn't I see that dude kick the shite out of Broner?"
I suspect that Eddie's thinking it's worth six million to get at least two of his fighters above the line in the USA & into mega mega-money fights, that's what the offer's for & I suspect why Broner's rejected it, he probably still has dreams either of finally making it hyooowwwge or if not settling for less money for less taxing endeavours & hope for a final cash-out down the road.
Reading between the lines, all Adrien's doing is refusing to take the role of an incredibly well-paid stepping stone (which kinda also proves he now has some idea of his true ability, in that he knows he's likely to lose to whomever Hearn wants to eventually feed him to; I don't think he's got the confidence any more to gamble, take the money & look to upset the applecart).

You're all somewhat on the money...but not quite seeing the wood for the trees.
Forget about the three fight deal and look at the first fight. £2m.
That is the one that matters. Broner may not be rocket scientist material but he's got a bit of street smarts. He'll be all too aware that Eddie is likely to put him in with someone decent to beat him up and then what? Would fight two and three happen..? Probably not. Is £2m enough to end your career on?

But a three fight contract is just that - Broner would presumably have his team build something into it to confirm that the fees quoted would be paid win or lose, and if something happens which means Broner cannot fight through injury or suspension a standard insurance policy kicks in.
Let's say the first fight was a repeat of the Garcia loss when he was handily beaten. He can still pick up 2.5m in the second fight. Not sure why you assume his career is over if he loses the first?

I've not seen the terms of the proposed contract and neither have you but I strongly suspect it will have included stipulations about the quality of opponent(s) and a requirement to win the fight(s).

There are fighters I would watch at all costs, like Cotto etc. But Adrien Broner has never been anywhere close to being a draw for me.
I was semi-interested prior and just after he fought Rees - but I could see from his social media accounts (wiping his ass with dollar bills) and the lazy weight class decisions, that he was going to fall apart at some point.
He arguably lost his next fight after Rees against Paulie Malignaggi. Then did lose to Marcos Maidana straight after that.
Losses to Porter & Garcia... then almost a year later he draws against Jessie Vargas.
Personally i think he should take the offer, because he is one more loss away from retirement or undercards.

even a loss and cut after 1 fight , which is pretty much the harshest scenario, is still twice what he made for drawing with vargas. knowing broner hed be right back on tv and not long after headlining again. the guy has already lost widely but ppl seem to keep some level of interest in him because of his personality
and then there was also the 40m for 5 fights with roc nation. wonder what that was about too

Even if it did he's getting 2m for a fight and then he's a free agent. I fail to see the issue here. Why would a loss mean he has to retire?

It wouldn’t mean he had to retire but it would probably be the end of the road for big paydays, which for him is more or less the same thing at this stage. Down the line he’ll come back for buttons though probably.

His big paydays aren't that big now anyway. A 2m purse for Broner makes sense in every way.

I'd guess he would have to win the fights to get the paydays and also I guess each of the fights would be against big names, at worst Amir Khan, prob Canelo too! There won't be any Gavin Rees's there!

Odd that if Broner is so open about revealing details of him knocking back the deal that he wouldn't make these points.
He appears to be openly saying he's turning down 6m or so because he thinks he's worth more.

I don't think it's odd. Why would he say "I'd have to fight top fighters and win and that's why I am not entering into the agreement."?

i mean broner turned down 40m for 5 fights before to make significantly less. not so sure hes talking 'slave' talk because theres some devious plan to have him lose right away, or that hed be matched super tough from the go, and with the money hearn just got he can afford some overpayments. seems to me like at the start would be the time where hearn is looking to get name us fighters on board to establish his business there and hence would pay more now
but hard to say what it is because theres very little info on the deal hearn offered

Not that, more that if he lost and the deal was therefore over. I mean - it looks, and Broner hasn't said anything to deny it, like a deal which means he gets paid XYZ for three fights. And all he's come back with is that it's slave wages and suchlike.
We're dealing here with a guy who is palpably an imbecile. I think you're thinking too much into this and forgetting Broner is the sort of dimwit who can probably convince himself he's worth a fortune despite being nothing more than a loudmouth love to hate gatekeeper.

Seems a few have turned him down. Mikey Garcia said he will earn more in one fight than he’s been offered. 3 others I can’t remember.

Strange logic. He's been offered 2m for his next fight. He was paid 1m for the Garcia fight.
