Outside top 15 for sure. He was inactive for long time, it was actually a retirement, then he KOed some unknown journeymen, then he was KOed twice by the cruiserweight. That's why I didn't rate Bellew too high also, he's #12 in my list. 2 fights in the HWs, 2 KOs of crippled inactive on a higher level ex-top fighter.

Not quite. Fury is in a better position to be ranked higher, cause he at least was compelled to take time off and now he's back with the lineal championship.

Well, I had him at #25. I used to think of him as a pretty mediocre gatekeeper. But when I reflect on him beating Alexander Ustinov, Alex Leapai, Kevin Johnson, and numerous journeymen; he's pretty solid. He's a decent gatekeeper, not a mediocre one. But he needs to be at least a handful of ranks below Duhaupas.

one thing i notice, on every list, aj has beaten more top 10 then anyone else. even the guy right above me who has wilder #1 still has aj beating 3 top 10 guys (plus his #15 and #16) compared to no more then 1 for any of the others. this isnt even counting the wlad win since wlad isnt rated anymore

anyone but aj at #1 must be on the eye test, and frankly ajs still the top for me there too. would not expect him to have any issues with a guy like artur szpilka or eric molina. hed beat him much like he beat molina, easy 3 round job.

adding to that, that ajs likely next opponent povetkin is top 3 in most of these lists

aj really is building a strong record of top opponents

I'd put Ortiz ahead of Miller. Otherwise pretty much this.

i feel like right now aj and wilder are a clear 1 and then 2. aj clearly has the best recent opposition and i cant see how wilder has really outshined him on the eye test. i can sort of see how some ppl have fury at the top, but personally i dont buy into defaulting lineal champs to the top spot. look at who aj has beaten since fury fought wlad. its like good name after good name compared to just seferi

as for pov , to me hes clear top 5--actually top 3 for me, but i dont think he should be ahead of wilder anymore. when wilder and povetkin were supposed to fight each time, povetkin i think defo had a strong argument to being rated above wilder, and overall i think he still has a stronger resume, but that is in large part due to wins stretching back like a decade. for recent activity, wilders win over ortiz (who i would group in the same cluster with pov) should put him ahead imo. basically over the last few years wilders beat a bunch of fringe contenders plus ortiz, whereas lately povs just beaten fringe guys at best

aside from those guys, i feel like miller, whyte, and parker are 'for sure' top 10 guys. then guys like pulev, takam, breazeale are other guys who maybe have more holes in there recent records but i think all have strong cases. when you start getting lower down the list, it becomes a lot more arguable with names and placements imo
