where would you rank haye at cruiser? certainly i dont think hes a p4p top 10'er at all over the last 18 years
at best maybe an outside honorable mention. no longevity at cruiser and enzo mac and fragomeni are top 3 wins for him there. mormeck was a good win but a huge struggle, and actually the frago win was tough too. just dont see how he stacks up to most guys mentioned

If we are talking about a fighter at their very best for me it has to be Roy Jones, only an extraordinary fighter could school James Toney when he was also in his prime.

Based on peak ability or his record? At his peak, I think he was the best of his generation.
Mayweather's miles out in front if we're basing this on records, but he missed lots of guys in their primes, and some altogether.
I'm talking about Forrest and Haye in snapshot: the best P4Pers from any given time, even if only for one or two fights. Froch has a better record than Calzaghe and Ward, for example, but who rates him more highly?

How can floyd be lightyears ahead of 2 when lost to castillo, had troubles with judah, maidana and ducked dangerous opponents such as prime psc & prime margarito and many other?

That is dominance. 90s jones would schooled opponents of the talent level of maidana and judah and not lose 4+ rds. And whenever floyd got into the ring with a legendary opponent it was far from very dominant. De la hoya, pacquiao, boring uds, where he wad running scared, far away from s brilliant performance.

Unlike most of you guys i have floyd inside my top 7 atg. There is no hatred.
Jones and loma in prime are better than prime floyd. Prime pac is tough, but since manny is naturaly lighter smaller and would still give floyd hell, what would a same weight manny do to floyd. Floyd height and longer reach is a problem for manny. Prime mannys relentless attacks stamina and speed is a problem for floyd. Close.

Is the thread not about pound-for-pound fighters in the context of the year 2000 until the present day?
Is it unreasonable to suggest that Roy’s best years were prior to the start of the Millennium?
Is it reasonable to claim that Jones Jr’s accomplishments during the current century were overshadowed by several other fighters?
