He'll stop Bellew or win a lopsided UD.

Kudos to Bellew for taking on such a tough challenge though. I like Tony, I just think he's outmatched here.

I would've been trying real hard to talk Bellew into fighting Fury or something if I was in his ear. I doubt he beats AJ, Fury or Usyk, but at least with the Heavies he'd get a career high payday to go out on.

And frankly I'd consider Fury the most beatable of the 3 at this point.
Agreed, but I'm certain Fury would not have took it. His major assets, speed and elusiveness, wouldn't worry Bellew.

The big question for me is why would this be at Cruiserweight where Usyk is tried and tested?

I know Tony Bellew fancies this, probably believing Usyk carries low one punch risk, but surely he'd better off at heavyweight. Perhaps he feels all those belts are worth the risk (of nothing more than a sore head) and the option to return to heavyweight will always be there.

Anyway, at Cruiserweight it's all Usyk and a foregone conclusion, at heavyweight it's clause to 50/50 and interesting.

this doesnt really make sense to me, bellew as a hw was basically just some extra weight in fat, he wasnt much over the cruiser limit at all and was clearly softer, how does that make it a 50-50 but not having that fat means that usyks a foregone conclusion to win

remember, bellew fought at lhw for years, your not talking about some massive cruiser who is actually a natural hw draining himself down

I am confused.

The fight was always going to be at CW... it doesnt make sense to fight at HW when both men can easily cut the weight and fight for all of the belts. I seem to recall Bellew stating that no matter the result he will retire after this too.... So if anyone is fighting at HW after this it will be Usyk ;)

Bellew looked in great shape for the rematch vs Haye, weighing in at 210lbs.. I doubt usyk weighed much less on fightnight vs Gassiev...
