Jarrell Miller vs. Tomasz Adamek - October 6, 2018
Re: Jarrell Miller vs. Tomasz Adamek - October 6, 2018?
Adamek is 41 and shot as f**k. I wouldn't even allow this tbh. Awful mismatch.

The last time Jarrell Miller shared the ring with a has been Eastern European, he got his ass kicked. Just throwing that out there.

Can't my "landsman" get any fights? Does no one want to fight him? He hasn't fought since April 2017!
Adamek has been a great fighter and champion, but he's been a pro boxer for almost twenty years now, and he's in his 40's. He's far more skillful than the big baby, but he'll be outweighed by eighty pounds and Miller is only 30, and the ref and judges, bought and paid for as always, will favor Miller too because the money boys are already building him up for a fight with Joshua or some other big name. Adamek will be a huge underdog. I'd be amazed if he won.
Someone above mentioned a fight between BB and another Polish guy, but didn't mention BB's friend, Kownacki. I think the Kow would destroy the Baby!

I mentioned Ugonoh to fight Miller i didnt mentioned Kownacki because this fight seems to be impossible to be ever made which is bad because Big Baby vs Babyface could be a fan friendly fightx2x wrote: ↑06 Aug 2018, 15:34Pukka Cheese wrote: ↑06 Aug 2018, 10:49 Can understand not wanting to go to Bulgaria to fight Pulev but to drop down to this......

Mixing up fighters like Miller Kownacki Whyte Takam Chisora in any combination results in a decent fan friendly watch guaranteed they are limited fighters but they have a lot of heart and are rather known for they offensive skills rather than defence

Re: Jarrell Miller vs. Tomasz Adamek - October 6, 2018?
Miller dont have much if any reach advantage neither is much taller Adamek even at that age seems to be faster and still got good engine i know that he lost to Molina but prior to the KO he won like 7 out of 9 rounds and some people believe it was a premature stoppage since Adamek was on his feet at 9 count if i remember well and he was knocked down just at the moment when the bell rang. And it seems weird but i think its a better version of Adamek that the one that fought Molina or Szpilka now he got proper camps and trainers hes got a very professional team also spars with Kownacki and CW undefeated prospects Cieslak and Balski among others. Miller dont have this one punch ko power Adamek needs to avoid being closed on the ropes or corner to prevent the British stoppage scenario. Adamek looked very good vs Abell and had him down in 2, 6 and 7, 4 times in total but of course Abell is very limited but he is strong big and until he gasses out hes a danger and arguably punches harder than Miller also he was motivated for this fight because he was after ko wins over then undefeated Nofire and Zimnoch. Adamek takes this fight to win it i personally doubt he can do it but i still give him some chances
Re: Jarrell Miller vs. Tomasz Adamek - October 6, 2018?
adamek barely beat kassi and he DID get kod by molina, miller will have no problems, adamek is past it and will be manhandled by a much fresher and stronger guy. big baby starts a bit slow and often loses the first round, but aside from that i dont see adamek doing anything to him

Re: Jarrell Miller vs. Tomasz Adamek - October 6, 2018?
Adamek Kassi was close but Adamek won no doubt i had it 97-93, Kassi already made some fighters ranked above Adamek look bad
Possibly Molina was on doping in that fight, if yes then this ko loss and being ahead on points looks different, better for Adamek. Also Molina was arguably in the best shape in his career, was lightest since 2012 Arreola fight, lighter than vs Wilder and AJ and imo looked faster and sharper vs Adamek than vs them. Also had 70 days training camp.
Millers of course a huge favourite but its not such a big missmatch as some believe it is

If it were prime Adamek I'd say he's got a shot, but as is I don't give him much of a shot at all. I doubt he'll even win a round to be honest with ya. Maybe 1 round.dagilechia wrote: ↑07 Aug 2018, 16:42Miller dont have much if any reach advantage neither is much taller Adamek even at that age seems to be faster and still got good engine i know that he lost to Molina but prior to the KO he won like 7 out of 9 rounds and some people believe it was a premature stoppage since Adamek was on his feet at 9 count if i remember well and he was knocked down just at the moment when the bell rang. Miller is WAY bigger than Adamek though a lot of that is just useless fat, but I just don't think Adamek has it in him anymore to be able to beat or even really give all that much trouble to guys at this level.
Adamek's just another name for Miller to beat at this stage. If Adamek even gives Miller trouble it'll likely drop Miller in the rankings a little bit because this should just be a walkover victory for him.
I'm a fan of Adamek, but Father Time waits for no fighter, and Father Time caught up to Adamek a while back.

Daggie does put forward a reasonable case for Adamek, and given his locale, I take what he has said into consideration.gilgamesh wrote: ↑07 Aug 2018, 17:28If it were prime Adamek I'd say he's got a shot, but as is I don't give him much of a shot at all. But I'm with you on this one Gil, if Miller wants a title shot, then in 2018 Adamek isn't the road to it.

Re: Jarrell Miller vs. Tomasz Adamek - October 6, 2018
Former opponent Johann Duhaupas says Jarrell Miller v Tomas Adamek ‘makes no sense’
Johann Duhaupas is disappointed in Wednesday’s announcement of a clash between Jarrell Miller and Tomas Adamek on the undercard of Matchroom USA’s maiden show forming part of their new DAZN streaming deal.
Promoter Eddie Hearn puts the finer details of the October 6 event to the media, as Matchroom branch out from the UK to Chicago at the 10,000 capacity Wintrust Arena in the fall.
Headlining the show will be one-time welterweight ruler Jessie Vargas, whilst Daniel Roman will defend his super-bantamweight belt against Gavin McDonnell.
“Tomas Adamek is an easy fight for Miller and we all know he will win,” ex-WBC title challenger Duhaupas told World Boxing News after losing via a unanimous decision to the 30 year-old back in April.
“Miller is far too big for Adamek and there’s too much weight difference. Can you imagine how much of an advantage he will have against a former light-heavyweight?
“When I was fighting Miller and his weight completely change the fight as he was SIXTY POUNDS heavier, and also Adamek is not a puncher.
“I really don’t see Adamek putting a dent in Miller and the fight should be over before the end, for sure. I really think this fight makes no sense at all in the USA, but obviously will be good for Miller to have another easy victory for his record.”
Asked who Miller should be facing, Duhaupas – who recently called out Dereck Chisora – predictably put himself forward for a return.
“I believe Miller needs to fight again versus me again because he can’t pretend to fight Deontay Wilder without scoring a knockout against me first.
“Like Wilder, he tried and he couldn’t do it. I am very ready to kick his a** and win this rematch, I can’t wait so just give me a call!
“Deontay Wilder never knocked me out, so I’m ready for the next fighter who will try to KO me. I can even be ready to fight the WBC champion again!
“I have a big experience after my two fights in the USA and I urge Miller to agree to the rematch. If Eddie Hearn wants to call my promotor Mehdi Ameur after Miller beats Adamek easily, this fight will happen again, for sure,” he added.

Who is he training with now?dagilechia wrote: ↑06 Aug 2018, 04:42 But if they really want to make Miller vs Polish fighter, then the best choice is Izu Ugonoh. Now he's not the same fighter that stupidly lost against Breazeale, now he's got an decent trainer that will actually have a tactical plan, not only all in and get back with your shield or on it. And Izu is a smart guy, he will listen to his trainer now.

Re: Jarrell Miller vs. Tomasz Adamek - October 6, 2018
Andrzej Gmitruk, ex trainer of lhw and cw Adamek and current trainer of Sulecki (did a fantastic job in his corner vs Jacobs) Masternak (shows improvement since hes again with Gmitruk, both Sulecki and Masternak been with Gmitruk before then switche to other trainers and now are back to Gmitruk and both seem to improwe with him, Mastenak scored a very good win vs Kalenga dominated him and Kalenga retired on his stool) and Szpilka that will probably fight Wach next
Ugonoh Masternak Szpilka and Sulecki train in Warsaw Athleticism Centre together with top Polish MMA fighters including ex UFC fighter Jan Blachowicz, its a really good place for professional fighters and Gmitruk is the best Polish boxing trainer

Adamek was wasted by Bloodworth, he switched him to more "American" style, before Adamek had a forward stance not with his shoulder pointed at his opponent (i dont know how to explain it in english) last time when Adamek fought well was vs Arreola he already wasnt with Gmitruk but was prepard by Shields for this fight. With Bloodworth he had rather a friendship rather than trainer fighter relation. Adamek lacks power but interesting thing is that he fights in orthodox stance but his stronger hand is the left one so in theory he should fight as a southpaw.

Why impossible ? I have been impressed with baby face. He set the all time record for punches landed in a heavyweight round in the Szpilka fight. He throws them from all angles. Do you have any idea why boxrec has the mysterious annotation on his page, "banned indefinitely by the ny state athletic commission"?
Re: Jarrell Miller vs. Tomasz Adamek - October 6, 2018
kownacki got sent to the hospital by kiladze, he was busted up, i assume they issued that suspension to keep him from fighting till a doctor said hes ready to fight again, all sorts of boxers have the same sort of thing listed , its nothing shady
anyway, millers getting boring. talks a lot, but pretty much every other serious champ or contender has faced tougher opponent (s) then anyone hes faced. he needs to make more of a statment in the ring
ajs fought all sorts of good opponents and has povetkin next
wilder just fought ortiz
ortiz fought jennings and wilder
povetkin fought wlad, chagaev, chambers, etc and aj next
whyte fought parker and aj
parker fought aj , whyte, takam
t fury fought wlad
h fury fought parker
pulev fought wlad
chisora fought vitali, haye, whyte, etv
brezeale fought aj
miller has fought some okay lower top 15-20 types, but that sort of thing maxes out its value and interest pretty quickly. lets see him face a legit guy soon, not these older guys who are playing loser. of course hell stop adamek, matching eric molinas achievment

Miller was playing the loudmouth Shannon Briggs role last week with Joshua! He's been fighting pretty good guys - Wach, Washington, Duhaupas. I think Wach would have beat him if he wasnt injured and out of shape.
