This is a really good fight, because Askin is a very improved fighter and real live dog.

Okolie maybe the favourite but he has defensive vulnerabilities. We dont know if Askin is clever enough to take advantage but its going to be exciting.

I would be favouring Okolie to win a UD

I think a shock could be on the cards it wouldn’t suprise me , the only thing I worry about is I think askin is very slow

and thats exactly why Askin has been chosen as the opponent.

He was made mandatory for the title. And the last thing I would call Matty is slow. Ask Tommy McCarthy what shocked him and he'll tell you it was his speed.

mandatory or not, Okolie chooses if he wants to take the fight, he either fights Askin or relinquishes the title and moves upwards. The fact he took the fight tells you he fancies the fight and the reason he fancies the fight is that he will detonate on Askin as Askin pulls the slow (er) trigger.

If he didn't take the fight and pulled out,he wouldnt let be able to challenge for the British title for 12 months. His management wanted him to take another fight before this one,but fair play to Okolie be wanted the fight. Like I said earlier he's looked OK against journeymen,he was terrible against chamberlain, although somewhat better against Watkins. Matty wins via KO

lol i lean okolie too, but 'okolie taking the fight and askin having lost before shows that okolie must win' is awful logic

askin took the fight too, askin will be okolies biggest puncher and by far most experienced opponent, askin has fought much tougher comp then okolie has including world class comp with enough power to ktfo marco huck, askin has come back from defeat to reach a career high and show that he still had drive, askin has beat unbeaten opponents who took fights with him etc

What's up Jammy?
You lean towards Okolie, then make such a good case for Askin, you've got me convinced Askin can do it

Ok can we have reasons for Okolie winning.IE better footwork, power etc if you think Askin, reasons for him.
I think,Matty as he's better boxer,puncher,less predictable,better defence.and I train him.😂

This is gonna be a great fight. I'm really looking forward to it.

Askin is underrated in my opinion. He's a tough man with good skills and is rarely in fights that are other than sensational and edge of your seat stuff.

If Okolie isn't on his game then he could get beat. I suspect he will have too much for Askin and stop him. Too big, too strong and too explosive.

Interesting match up. Askin will probably need a KO to win as i think it will be close with Askin shading it but judges will go with Okolie.

Seeing the few interviews and photos and videos from his camp, Askin strikes me as a boxer who does it properly. Seems to really invest in a good camp with good sparring and he’s obviously been reaping the benefits with his recent form.

You know it's a shite PPV when you're looking forward to this fight more than the main event!

I like the look of Okolie so far, still raw but incredible reach and carries a bit of a dig, looked great in destroying Watkins, I wouldn't be surprised to see him beat Askin but I'm going with Askin to have too much for him, plenty more experience and is in good form, cant see Okolie being able to outbox him over 12, i think Askin can stop Okolie here

Some boxers pose on front of their Roller or G-wagon, drinking cristale surrounded by lovely ladies, bling watches and chains.
And then there is Matty...

I think it's 50/50. Okolie's total lack of jab and fundamentals will cause him trouble. But he's a supreme athlete compared to Askin and could end it early.

Askin was one of my favorite fighters, remember seeing him getting thoroughly outclassed by JLD all them years ago and would never have thought he'd end up with such a high calibre resume. I thought McCarthy was the bollocks but Askin totally outclassed him. Proper done it the hard way.

I say was, because that's a Bailey Pageant in the background. FFS man get yerself a proper caravan - Elddis affinitys shit all over a pageant.
