It’s funny Warrington left Matchroom because they had different things planned. He’s done really well with FW.. even had a world title fight at Elland Road.

When Frampton was a free agent, all he wanted was a promoter to who can deliver him a fight at Windsor Park. Hearn missed out, and 3 fights later FW delivered the Park..

Looks like Hearn only wants stadium fights for AJ.. and no one else.

Not gonna argue. What couldn’t he give Frampton? He must have said the Windsor Park fight has to be Quigg lol.

I got the impression Hearn wanted to make the Selby fight just after Warrington’s exciting struggle v Amagasa. And that Warrington didn’t believe he could win, at the time. Just not ready. The excuse about being unable to fight that date due to his marriage - yet still fighting on that date versus an opponent who couldn’t even make the weight.

I assumed this was the start of Warrington’s move to FW, the master of right time, right place...

Manchester Arena is likely the venue..

According to FW, Frampton could be earning £2 million for this bout.

With a slice of the pay-per-view income on top of his purse, Frampton could well be set for a £2m windfall against Warrington as the fight will generate huge interest across the UK.

Promoter FW said: “Carl and Josh Warrington is a dream fight. They’re both at the top of their game, they both have that will to win, you’re going to see something special — it’s going to be the best domestic fight for many, many years and it will happen before the end of the year.

“It should really be a stadium fight because both guys have just had their last fights in football stadiums, but we don’t want to wait until after Christmas for an outdoor fight because by that stage the guys could be bogged down in the demands of a mandatory title defence.

“The guys want the fight, this is the best fighting the best and the fans will love it and I think it says a lot about them that they want it and I’d like think it says a lot about us a promotional company because we could have let the two guys go on their separate ways and defend their titles but it’s on.”

Warrington will attract a lot of fans to Manchester too.. it's definitely a 50-50 and Warrington can argue he's the world champion, kinda like how Frampton claimed he was the real world champion when he fought Quigg, who held the WBA' Regular' belt. Frampton himself said he doesn't consider himself a world champion which is correct. Frampton can argue he's the A-side, but really he's not a ppv star in the first place.

I think the £2m figure is taking ppv sales/gate revenues etc on board.

I'm wondering if Frampton will have to give up his Interim WBO belt in order to challenge for the IBF..

Extremely close to Christmas, I cannot see it doing huge numbers on PPV. I'd imagine aswell ticket sales may suffer from the Xmas party season.

I know around Xmas, football attendances are often down due to the party/holiday season.

Will do even less if the potential Whyte-Chisora rematch is confirmed, which Hearn has already said will be 22nd December..

Nah, ticket sales will be fine - it will do the 20k without a problem. It shouldn’t be a PPV though- no way I’m paying for it anyway.

That's a fair few PPV's between now and the end of the year, saturating the market now
