Probably the most violent Title Change in the history of Boxing...or at least the most violent one that's captured on film at least. You'll never see a beating so brutal in the modern era because the officials wouldn't allow it, and you can't just pounce on your opponent the second he stands up anymore, so the level of violence on display is truly historic because it simply cannot be matched ever again.

The rules back then were nothing short of farcical.

Dempsey was stood lock and loaded with an uppercut and Willard was poised with his glove touching down, knowing that when he lifts it, Dempsey's fist was going to smash into his ribs. It looks like a comedy sketch when you watch it back.

To answer the OP; my pick would be the Rumble in the Jungle. I reckon RitJ is probably the most iconic sporting result in the history of all sport. It would be an amazing to have been at.

For me it would have to be Ali v Frazier 1971. There are a great many wonderful fights which I would love to have witnessed up close and personal, but this was the fight that hooked me, reeled me in, and made me a lifelong fan of boxing, particularly pro boxing, especially pro heavyweight boxing, so I can choose no other.

Now we've got that out there I would love to have been ringside in 1975 for Earnie Shaver(s) v George Foreman.

Ritson-Lomachenko, 2020 at St James' Park. The atmosphere was incredible with 50,000 geordies going mental as the 2 LW champions faced off to see who would be P4P no.1 and undisputed LW champion. The way Ritson broke him down in 6 brutal rounds was hard to watch and the body shot that finished Loma off (and broke his ribs) was the icing on the cake.
