We'd have good ol' Sid to point out the error of our ways, and have him help establish a higher standard to shoot for in the future. . In the meantime people may well continue to wonder and be mystified by the possibility that folks who weigh less can somehow continue (on occasion) to somehow overcome the odds and defeat their bigger opponents.
Greb beat Tunney on one occasion
Haye Beat Valuev
Jones Beat Ruiz
Joe Louis was ALMOST edged out by Billy Conn
So.....it's not moronic, imbecillic, or idiotic to frame the question. It is however kinda sorta rude to point out that you happen think it sucks that someone dared to express it.
And....one always has the option to ignore those threads that they don't find to be their cup of tea.
Perhaps there a more aromatic and sippable teas to be found elsewhere.
Now that's just my two cents.
And as far as Rodan goes.....he's fictional, so it will never be a serious threat to the professional pugilist, now or in the future.

You might need to go to an anger management class or something. No reason why this thread should've upset you THIS much. Or at all for that matter.

I can't disagree.....sort of a goofy what if.
What if.....instead of "fan man" or "parachute man" falling out of the sky on the Holyfield vs Bowe fight, it was RODAN that landed in the ring?
I bet that's something a lot of people have never thought to consider.
Wrong fight for Rodan -- Tyson-Douglas, then we could have had a stadium full of screaming Japanese and it would have been a proper event.
Sometimes (what if . . .) fantasy fight discussions turn into ASBs; sometimes they start there.
For what it's worth, a Tiger-Tommy Burns fight might have been a barn burner, not sure he matches up well against any of the names on your list.

Honestly, I think Tiger could have given Marvin Hart a good fight as well. Liston? Not so much. And I actually think the Japanese fans would be prepared for Rodan in a way that an American Audience would not be. Nippon fans have wrestled with some major silly circumstances in the past. E.G. Ali vs Inoki for one.
